Work Text:
Robin has always had a crush on Nancy ‘The Priss’ Wheeler. Nancy was more of a hallway crush than anything. They had never spoken unless they needed to get by to their locker, they had barely ever made eye contact, Nancy hardly ever smiled at Robin, and they only had three classes together. But now, for senior year, Robin ‘The Invisible’ Buckley was going to be seen.
-
Nancy sat in front of Robin in the last period. Robin tapped Nancy on the shoulder. Nancy turned slowly.
“Yes?” She whispered.
“Uh, Hi. Just… take this.” Robin stuttered, handing a note to Nancy.
Nancy gave Robin a weird look before turning back around.
The bell rang, and Robin sprang up.
-
Robin stood where she had told Nancy to go. She had given her a bit of a quest on it, and Nancy was soon to be late. I guess Nancy wasn’t Nancy Drew after all…
“Robin?” A girl called.
Robin turned abruptly and Nancy was there. She stood with her hands in her jacket pocket and eyes focused on Robin’s.
“Yes! Um, hi.”
“What did you… need exactly?” Nancy asks.
“I was just wondering if you wanted to be, friends. You know, since we have a few classes together and what not.” Robin explained, chuckling awkwardly at the end.
Nancy tilted her head, bored.
“I-I’m sorry, this was stupid.” Robin muttered, turning away. Nancy grabbed Robin’s wrist and pulled her back, closer this time.
“I would love to.” Nancy smiled before walking away.

It has been a month after Robin and Nancy have became friends. Robin has now developed more than a hallways crush. It’s something more.
It’s something more now because they has kissed once now. Now they were, well, semi dating.
But semi dating was enough for Robin.
