Notes:

I won't lie, I was deeply disappointed by the final episode of Stranger Things 5. Too many questions were left unanswered, and it didn't give me the closure I felt the story deserved. That disappointment is actually what reshaped this entire project, 𝐀𝐖𝐀𝐊𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐃 ˢᵗᵉᵛᵉ ᴴᵃʳʳⁱⁿᵍᵗᵒⁿ.

Originally, this was meant to be a single book. But after Season 5, I realized the story I wanted to tell needed more space and more honesty. That's how this became a trilogy.

This book will cover Seasons 1 through 4, honoring the foundation of the story and the characters we grew up with. 

The next, my Will Byers–centered book, BETWEEN, which narrates Will's time in California in s4. That book is essential. 

Its original character, Eliot, is not just a side story. He is a key piece of the puzzle. His connection to Sirius Black is deliberate, meaningful, and deeply tied to the themes of identity, loss, and legacy. There's a reason I imagine Eliot as being played by Timothée Chalamet.

The final book will be entirely focused on Season 5, but it will not follow the show's path. This is where I let go of canon completely. This version will be darker, heavier, and more painful; because actions have consequences. People don't all make it out. Death will matter. Grief will linger. Love will still exist, but it won't be enough to save everyone.

This trilogy is my way of saying goodbye properly. Of giving the story and the characters, the ending I needed, even if it hurts.

Albus Severus Potter was not a squib, yet his magic remained dormant. Harry Potter, his father, thought maybe Albus was a late bloomer, like Neville Longbottom. But everything changed on his 11th birthday; he did not receive his Hogwarts letter.

The wizarding world labeled him as a 'squib'. It was a source of shame, especially for the son of the infamous Harry Potter. Harry, worried about the impact on Albus' mental health, decided to send him to a small town in Indiana. Hawkins was a normal, non-magical place.

What Harry didn't know was that Albus' magic had been suppressed by his own excessive self-doubt when he was six years old because, his younger sister Lily had been able to perform accidental magic, but Albus could not. He simply needed a push.

And so, Albus became Steve Harrington; free from the family legacy, and free from magic.
