Work Text:

Blitzø is being pulled away by those creepy floating fuckers in the courtroom. Stolas is chained in front of him.  Why won’t he use his powers?  Why won’t he escape?  Why is he doing this?

Stolas!

STOLAS!

Blitzø snaps awake, the tears pouring out of him like a waterfall.  He looks around.  He’s in his apartment.  Stolas is sleeping on the couch across from him.  He’s alive. Stolas is alive. He’s here.  It’s ok.  Everything is ok.

He takes a moment to calm his breathing and wipe away the tears. Just what he needed, new traumatic nightmares.  Well, it was nice to have a variety.  He looks at himself, he’s still in his work clothes. No wonder he’s having nightmares, he needs to scrub this fucked up day off of him.  He gets out of the beanbag chair that has become his bed.

He stops as he gets to Stolas. His beautiful bird.  He can’t believe he almost lost him today.  Does he look comfortable?  Poor guy was so traumatized that he fell asleep as soon as his head hit the couch.

Blitzø wonders if Stolas is also having nightmares, and his prince also had a variety for his subconscious to choose from.  He can’t really shoot nightmares, but maybe he can make him more comfortable.  Oh, maybe if he gave Stolas one of his stuffed horses, it could help him overcome any nightmares.  It worked for Blitzø.

He grabbed an auburn coloured horse and placed it on Stolas’s head.  There, Braveheart Blossom would protect him.  But wait, Braveheart couldn’t go anywhere without her best friend Trusty Trotter.  He placed a blue horse beside Braveheart.  Oh, but Trusty wouldn’t want to spend the night without her sister, Chuckle Spark.  Blitzø places a pink horse with orange hair next to Trusty.  But what the fuck was he thinking?  They would obviously need Daring Dreamer if they were going to keep Stolas’s nightmares away, he placed a different blue horse to the right of Braveheart.

For a few more minutes, Blitzø kept adding more horses to Stolas’s sleeping body, finding more reasons in his own pony head cannon as to how they’d protect his prince.  Once he thought the owl was throughly covered and protected, he finally got changed and went to sleep.

Notes:

Thanks for reading! This idea just popped into my head and it made me smile, so I had to quickly write it. I hope you enjoyed it. And if anyone can draw, I’d love to actually see this.
