Chapter Text
[Summer, Everfree Forest]
Trixie's magic act was running low on things to help her shock the crowd. Being the stubborn and determined pony that she is, she didn't let that stop her. She kept using her magic and items around her to shock every crowd she came across, until finally, she was out of materials. Relying on raw magic wouldn't do anymore, she'd done too many tricks without items as an attention grabber, and she didn't want to become...boring, or worse, entirely irrelevant to ponykind's entertainment.
That's why she decided to do what could possibly be the stupidest thing anypony could ever do. Trixie went into the Everfree Forest. Usually, it wouldn't be too bad, since Zecora leaves up signs for anyone who may pass through about what paths and plants to avoid, but those signs weren't around lately. Zecora wasn't seen at all in the last few weeks, so everyone in Equestria decided to not go there as a whole.
Trixie thought too highly of herself to realize that maybe there's a reason why even the princesses of Equestria didn't want anypony to go to the Everfree Forest, and she didn't stop to think before she had already ventured a little too deep into the woods. It had gotten abnormally dark in one patch of the forest, making the small glow in the distance appealing for any wandering pony. Trixie, after seeing the patch of light on the ground, walked over to it.
There were a few patches of flowers up ahead, just eye-catching enough to make Trixie see them as worthy of being subject to her great and powerful spells. She picks a few of the flowers, putting them in her bag. She smiles, turning around and trotting out of the forest with her new and cool flowers.
"These are DEFINITELY going to impress everypony! My show will have much more visitors with these on display, I'm absolutely sure of it!"
As Trixie walks out of the Everfree Forest, the flowers in her bag glow just enough to fully illuminate the inside.
