Craig had seen the message when waking up for breakfast the following day. Clyde had even tried calling him, but the raven always turned his phone off at night—something he was instantly validated for after seeing the number of missed calls displayed on screen.
Regardless, Craig was sure to stop by the coffee shop on his way to the dorms next to his own. He didn't even have to knock before Clyde's irritated face greeted him as he opened the door. “You're late.”
“Didn't realize I was given a deadline.” Craig replied with sarcasm as he handed the brunet a cappuccino. “How is he?”
“Managed to get him off his ass for a solid two minutes,” Clyde accepted the cup with a sigh before taking a sip, most likely letting the caffeine seep through his system, “then he went back at it. So yeah, if you could get him to stop doing whatever it is he does, that'd be great.”
“Is it still about the essay?” The raven let himself in as he closed the door behind him. Clyde and Tweek's room was on the larger side, mostly per the blond's request to the head counselor. And even though the two of them got along descently well, there were times that Clyde had to call on Craig support whenever Tweek got a bit outta hand.
“I keep telling him it's fine as is, but you know…” Clyde didn't have to elaborate. After grabbing a pair of keys, he raised his hand in a peace sign while walking past the raven. “Have fun, use protection, all that jazz.”
“Fuck you.”
“Gladly.”
And just like that, Craig was left alone by the entrance. He was quick to replace his shoes with a pair of slippers from the shoe rack and left his hat on the coat hanger before making his way to Tweek's study.
There, sitting on a desk with a mountain of empty paper cups scattered around, was none other than Craig's boyfriend. Tweek was laser focused on the task in front of him, leaning forward slightly while he typed and grumbled under his breath, even letting out small grunts of frustration whenever he presumably didn't like what he wrote.
Craig couldn't help but smile fondly at the display.
With quiet steps, he approached the younger man from behind before placing his chin on top of his shoulder. “Hey,”
“U-Ugh, I told Clyde not to bother you…” Tweek let out tiny squeak of protest, but otherwise didn't steer away from Craig's touch.
“What, can't I come visit my boyfriend for no reason?”
“N-Not when I know you're here to scold me…”
“I'm just here to make sure you don't burn yourself out,” the raven instantly placed another cup in front of Tweek; hot chocolate. He knew the blond would be running on nothing but caffeine from the past hours, so chocolate was always a nice buffer he used on him to try and calm him down, “although I guess I'm too late for that.”
“It's just a stupid paper, about a stupid subject, that I can't seem to get the hang of. Nothing to worry about.” Tweek silently reached for the hot chocolate and hummed in delight as he sipped, mumbling a quick ‘thank you’, despite never taking his eyes off the screen.
“Honey, if it's the same draft you sent me on Tuesday, it's perfect. Mr. Garrison would be a dick if he didn't give you a passing grade for that one.” Craig quickly scanned the essay written in front of him, and from what he could tell, it was indeed the same ideas Tweek had sent him a few days ago when asking for his input. Albeit rearranged in a different order.
“You have to say that, you'd be a shitty b-boyfriend if you didn't.” Tweek argued weakly as he leaned back into the chair, snuggling closer to Craig's side.
“Oh? So those times that you said my homework about the solar system was cool were just lies? Damn Tweek, didn't think you had it in you.”
“We were in elementary school!”
“I'm still hurt. Stabbed straight in the heart, if you will.”
“Oh whatever, you…” The blond didn't even finish his sentence before placing a kiss on the raven's cheek, giving him a tiny smile, even though it was clearly riddled with exhaustion.
“You need a break. And not just a two minute walk around the dorm.” Craig pulled out his phone and started scrolling through his gallery. When landing on the desired picture, he turned the screen so Tweek could see. “You're coming with me to PetSmart. Stripe ran out of food and I'm thinking of getting her one of those fancy new wheels.”
Tweek squinted at the tiny screen, staring at the photo of an empty bag of food and a saddened guinea pig in the corner. “She does look a bit chubbier…”
“Hey, we don't body-shame in this house. But yeah, she could use some fun while I'm in class, especially since Cartman still shits his pants whenever I let her out of the cage.” The raven pocketed his phone and offered his hand instead, in which Tweek glanced between it and his laptop. Eventually he seemed to make up his mind, since he saved his file and turned the device off.
“Guess a quick trip wouldn't h-hurt…” Tweek mumbled before accepting his boyfriend's hand and interlacing their fingers together.
Craig smiled at the display, before placing a gentle kiss on top of the fluffy mop of blond in front of him. “That's the attitude. Now let's go before Cartman realizes I swipped his credit card before leaving.”
“C-Craig!”
“Just kidding! Mostly…”
As the two left the dorm rooms and started heading towards the campus exit, Craig made a mental note to tell Clyde that maybe they should request a roommate exchange, at least only during their midterms.
