Corbeau sighed as he put down yet another phone. It had been three months since the tower incident, three months of non stop volunteer work by most of Lumiose to repair what had been done after the tower went crazy. He took a swig of water on the side of his desk. Suddenly his phone rang.
'Probably another business call with Quasartico; he thought as he swiped accept call.
"Hey it's Emma" the voice said.
"Ah detective, to what do I owe the pleasure" he said as he took another drink from his water.
"Remember two months ago when you inquired about tracking down some information on your birthparents" Emma said.
Corbeau sighed.
"Yes I do"
He was surprised the detective remembered, he'd brought it up whilst both of them were helping with some poor soul's house that had gained a few squatters in the form of Trubbish.
"Well I followed up on some leads and I think I tracked down the identity of at least your mother" Emma admitted.
Corbeau sighed. "If this is merely that she has passed away detective I already knew this"
It was all he could find, apparently his mother died during childbirth.
"There's more, I was able to pinpoint her identity and connected it to a missing persons report from 25 years ago"
Corbeau actually paused at that.
"That's, interesting" he said.
"Furthermore if we're to be believed you could have two alive grandparents, as well as two cousins" Emma added.
Corbeau nearly dropped his water at that revelation.
"Are you certain Emma" he asked.
"Nothing can be 100% certain until we do some DNA testing however everything lines up, Also the two possible grandparents have their dna on file. Seems like they hoped having it there would increase the chances of learning anything. If we go to a local center we can easily check "
Corbeau stood up,
"I'll head out now"
Emma quickly told him what center she'd be at as he made his way though the building and onto the streets.
"Sir" Philippe said as he passed him guarding the entrance. "is everything okay?"
"Thanks for your concern Philippe but I'm just heading to a center to assist Detective Emma with something" he said as he continued walking. It didn't take him long to reach the center she mentioned.
Corbeau watched as Emma asked the nurse for DNA testing, she nodded as she went to a machine and brought out a Ditto, It turned out the pokemon was revolutionary in the field in some way. The nurse asked for a prick of blood which he agreed to, Then the Ditto was given the blood drop and put into the machine. He watched as the pokemon slowly rotated through the scan. It dinged as the nurse got the results.
After that she went on her PC and entered the DNA file that Emma gave her. The nurse's eyes widened
"It's a match"
