Cell

Summary:

Yudrein hates the stare of the one who he thought was dead.

Or Kishiar visit Yudrein in his jail cell.

Work Text:

Inside a cell is a dark hair man. His clothes are dirty and filthy. His skin is mark with bruises and cuts. The dried up blood on his skin make his skin look rotten. Those deep black eyes staring at nothing.

The dripping of water is all he could hear.

Drip

Drip

Drip

He focuses on the sound of dripping water. It makes him forget the figure standing right infront of him. The dark red coat is all he needs to see to know who it is.

He's been there ever since the emperor demanded a capture of his crimes. Ever since he has been in this jail cell. He's been here. Staring at him.

Yudrein doesn't know why he has been hallucinating Kishiar. This doesn't happen often. Only when he is injured or is having a nightmare of him, is Kishiar there.

He hates this. He hates Kishiar staring at him. What does he want? What could he possibly want? He was dead. Did he want Yudrein to feel guilty about killing him? What was it?

Yudrein kept staring at the ground right beside Kishiar feet. The dripping of water being the only thing calming him down.

Kishiar feet moved one step closer to Yudrein.

His breathing stoped as he saw his feet moved. His thoughts stopped to a halt. His eyes shaking at the sight.

This wasn't real. He was dead. Yudrein tried to keep listening to the dripping of water but he couldn't. For the first time in a long time. He was scared.

Finally what seem to be hours. Yudrein finally spoke.

"What do you want?"

Silence.

"I said, what do you want Kishiar?"

Silence again.

All Yudrein could hear was the sound of dripping water.

Yudrein felt an another emotion he haven't felt for a while. Anger.

He was angry. Why couldn't Kishiar just answer his questions? He always been slient when it came to his questions. Why? Could he not trust him? Was he really that untrustworthy to all his secrets?

He wasn't mad that Kishiar didn't tell him his secrets. He was mad because it seemed like he was unworthy of knowing. That he was a brain dead commoner dog who couldn't shut his mouth up.

He felt unseen by Kishiar.

It felt like he wasn't good enough to stand beside Kishiar.

Yudrein clenched his hands. He closed his eyes. Please go away

The shuffling of feet pierce his ears as he tired to calm his breathing. He didn't want to see him. Not like this.

After everything, Kishiar is still here. Everyone left him behind. But not him.

He is still here.

He doesn't get it.

He could never seem to figure Kishiar out. No matter how much he tired. Yudrein knows Kishiar doesn't love him. With him leaving him like another play thing after they entangled themselves with each other.

So, why even in death, is he still here?

He doesn't understand.

The shuffling of feet stop. The feeling of arms around him, stopped his breathing. Despite the arms being cold, he couldn't stop his beating heart.

Yudrein open his eyes seeing the back of the man he thought he would never see again.

He couldn't stop shaking. He didn't know what to do.

He was speechless. There was only one thing he could do. He slowly hugged him back.

The feeling of his arms again brought comfort he didn't know could exist.

Maybe he never wanted him to leave in the first place.
