"The Mejiro villa?!?!"
Twin Turbo is leaning so far forward she's practically falling onto the cafeteria table.
"No listen it's not- it's not a big deal!"
Nature looks to Ikuno for backup, but she has her nose stuck in last-minute exam prep. She sighs, and faces the eager Turbo and Tannhauser once more.
"I've been in a slump and asked for help, so they're inviting me over for the weekend to give some training tips. That's all."
Turbo, for once in her life, has gone mute with shock. Tannhauser is almost vibrating with excitement.
"That's all? These are Mejiros! They're like, Uma royalty! You're gonna visit a palace!"
"They're not royalty, they're our classmates. I'm sure they're just normal people, right?"
(Ikuno shakes her head, but goes unnoticed.)
"You're not just going to meet McQueen and Ryan though, you're going to see the whole family. This is so exciting!"
Nature snorts.
"You're making it sounds like one of Digital's fanfics." She puts on a mock falsetto and gets to her feet. "'I was just an ordinary girl with an ordinary life, until I was sold to the Mejiros-'"
CLATTER
Nature turns to see what made the noise and comes face to face with Mejiro Ryan, bowl of carrot rice freshly fallen to the floor.
...reddened face to reddened face.
"I'm so- I didn't-"
If anyone had a stopwatch running, they would have timed two new records for the Tracen Cafeteria Sprint.
