“Frylock?” A small voice spoke up in the silence of the night
Frylock groaned before looking up, all he could make out in the no-contacts blur was a short frame in the backlit doorway.
“Meatwad? What is it?” Frylock sat up in his bed and flicked the lamp sitting on the bedside table on.
“Well you see, I was sleeping when I had me some crazy dream where Vanessa was actually a vampire and so she says something about eating Dewey and me and so I gots scared because I don’t wanna get eaten and I woke up and now I’m too scared to go back to bed.”
Frylock blinked tiredly, only understanding every other word Meatwad just spoke.
“You had a nightmare..?” Frylock raised an eyebrow. He saw the blur move slightly as decided to assume Meatwad nodded.
Frylock sighed softly, “you can sleep in here for tonight.”
Meatwad practically ran up to the bed after shutting the door.
“You mean it? Even though last time you said that I left dirt on your sheets and had to wash them and you was all upset the rest of the day?” Meatwad stared up at Frylock with eyes full of nothing but admiration and loving.
“Yes.” Frylock pulled back the blanket, allowing Meatwad to crawl up under it. “Now hurry up here, I’m tired.”
Meatwad hopped up and pulled the blanket out from Frylock’s hand, curling up with it.
Frylock reached over to turn the lamp off before moving closer toward the wall so Meatwad could have enough room to sleep comfortably.
The extra space didn’t matter much though, because as soon as Frylock closed his eyes, he felt Meatwad cuddle up closer.
Meatwad rested his forehead on Frylock’s chest and held Dewey in his hands tightly.
Frylock wrapped Meatwad in a loose hug and hummed a small lullaby.
Meatwad yawned before his grip of Dewey loosened.
