The water flowed through his lungs. He felt heavy as he failed to breathe. Pain grew in his chest while green and purple filled his vision.
And then it was gone. No more water; no more weight on his chest; no more colors.
Only himself and the air he breathed.
Sonic woke up with a jolt. He looked around, finding he was still at the diner. Dark grey stormclouds filled the night sky as water rained down upon him.
He could barely recall his dream, only remembering it involving water. Maybe it was just his body reacting to the rain…
