The Land of Waves.
It was the only home she'd ever known.
And it was doing so much better without Gato.
A smile spread across her face as she walked through the village.
Grocery shopping done.
She just had to get home now.
Inari waved to her, shouting a quick greeting as he ran by.
She returned it, calling out to tell Tazuna and Tsunami she said hello.
Her home wasn't that far away, so it didn't take her long to get there.
The way there was something she knew by heart.
Her bags were placed on the table just inside her front door.
A noise caught her attention.
Just as she turned to see what it was, a voice murmured from behind her.
"It's been a long time, Misaki."
Then darkness overtook her.
