The time of the year came, Christmas was only a week from today! It also meant a first Christmas in their new home, with their beloved Chara. Well now when they thought about it. They did not buy anything for them, and Chara probably had everything ready.
But also it was the first day that Frisk had some free time. Working as an ambassador also had some perks! But now, not about that, now they need to go and buy a present for that little chocolate. It also needs to be something better than last year; Chara should get the best things in the world. Maybe some trip, just the two of them for New Year in some little house in the woods.
Yes, that sounded just right! They would be able to avoid the noises from fireworks that triggered Chara so much; they just needed to ask their loved one about this plan, but that’s when they get home. Now they were on a mission to buy some cute ornaments.
When Frisk finally got home, they saw Chara laid on their sofa covered in a blanket.
“Oh so that’s why Chara didn’t pick up, they fell asleep” Frisk thought and went straight to the kitchen, where a little surprise waited for them. Chara made dinner, nothing fancy, just some light dinner. Frisk quickly ate it, cleaned after themselves and got surprised to see a pair of ruby eyes glazing at them.
“Hello Chara! Did you sleep well?” Chara got closer, their face showed that they weren’t fully awake, and when they finally came to Frisk and hugged that little idiot.
“You're late, where have you been Frisk?” Asked Chara with a little grumpy expression.
“You promised yourself that today you wouldn't stay longer at the embassy”
“I know, but I’m late for different reasons. Love, I went to buy some ornaments, and also came up with an idea for the New Year’s Eve. Would you like to spend it in some cottage in the forest? Just the two of us away from all the parties and fireworks” The offer sounded nicely to Chara. The thought of being only with Frisk this new year was almost like a dream looking at how much work Frisk had this year.
“That sounds lovely, Frisk. Now, we agreed upon decorating the tree today, didn’t we?” Chara smiled and looked at Frisk's happy face; they knew that their little idiot loved Christmas and everything around them.“That sounds lovely, Frisk. “Yes! I bought some Christmas baubles that look like your favorite flowers, and also took some that had funny shapes! As this one! It looks like a cup of chocolate! Ah, and the one that looked like a chocolate bar! Also…um…one that looks like a skate, Santa Claus and some more” Chart laughed warmly when they heard all the excitement from Frisk. It wasn’t so often now. Frisk was often too tired to even take care of themselves, so there was no chance, and now Christmas!
Well, Chara was excited, maybe not for the holiday, more about the fact that they finally could spend time with their lover.
“Okey, come, I set up the tree earlier, so we only need to decorate it” With this the two of them went to the little corner and started decorating. It did bring them a lot of joy, even when they did not agree on the placement.
Days went by and in no time came the day of Christmas. Everything was ready, food already was put on the table, presents laid under the tree, even their little garden got decorated with Christmas lights. Frisk also was all the week at home, so the two of them finally got to enjoy their time together.
The time came, the two humans sat down at the table wearing one of their best outfits; they ate their food while telling jokes and stories from their younger days, also the ones when Chara was only a ghost in Frisk head.
When the time for presents came, Chara let Frisk go first and open the little presents that contained two plushies that were shaped as a chibi version of themselves with Frisk's favorite snacks.
“Aww, thanks Chara, now! Open the present from me!” Chara did as they were told, and they weren’t even surprised to see a little coupon for the trip Frisk asked them about a week ago. They also saw some chocolate bars and even some Christmas sweaters.
“Frisk that so sweet, thank you,” Frisk smiled and hugged Chara warmly.
“Merry Christmas my little Chocolate!”
