Despair . The one thing Ingo had relished in when he caused it, it was his joy to see others suffer. Luckily , he got that job when making a deal with Monowariai, the beloved host to Memento Mori Academy. The deal they had made was more than enough to have Ingo motivated to make these people suffer.
It had been awhile after Ingo was first let out to the contestants, watching them scatter around and try to stay innocent despite their fates literally been written and spoken out by Monowariai herself, and I guess Rowan.. But he never exactly did much, although his presence was unnerving whenever he was around. Not saying he was freaked out by Rowan, honestly Ingo found him stupidly cute at best. That was besides the point, he was getting bored of watching these ants wander about, he wanted to pay a visit to someone he kept close to despite the circumstances they had succumbed.
Ingo soon met himself with the sight of the garden, where his beloved lay. He went over and sat beside it him, although he didn't face the grave.. It never helped with the empty feeling he had already. He missed him. He missed him so much it pained him to even just stare at the sight of the grave. Why did he have to leave so soon? He wanted to throw up from just the pure misery he felt.
This was pathetic.
Ingo hated this, he was supposed to be wearing those contestants down, not moping by himself in some lousy garden.
Yet, he couldn't help but feel even worse at the thought of leaving his beloved. Leaving him would be something he'd never dream of, never in his lifetime would he do that.
He sighed, if he was here he might aswell talk with his love. " ' .. I'm assuming you're here with me, but you know how much I miss you, don't you? I miss your voice, your face... your everything. Why did you have to leave me so much sooner than I wanted..? I want you back, I want you here with me again, like before. ' " He said, his voice was painfully miserable, he teared up just the slightest, god he was so pathetic he hated everyone.. Before he could continue speaking, footsteps were heard from behind him and a veryy familiar voice spoke up
" ' Ingo.. ' " Of course, it had to be Wariai out of all people. Her tone reminded Ingo of his mother, A####.. When Ingo turned to face her, he couldn't read her expression at first, was it concern? Anger? Disappointment? He didn't know.
" ' yeahh..? ' " He replied back, tilting his head slightly. In his head, Ingo thought he was done for, I mean, this is Wariai who caught him in the act of mourning his beloved which to be honest, kinda made him cringe a little.
" ' Go down to the room, we'll have a talk later.. ' " Her voice remained unreadable, same with her expression. Ingo panicked a little, was he actually in trouble for this..? No, you're overthinking this too much, just listen to what she says and you'll be fine.
Ingo sighed, then began to walk down to the room, making sure to lock the door so any nosy contestants don't wander inside whilst he was in here. He sat on the floor near the door to the room, he felt awful now, he just had to be caught in the act didn't he? It was stupid, extremely stupid. There's no point on beating yourself up about it now, it's happened and you have to deal with the consequences, simple life rules, ya know?
It wasn't until later that day when Wariai came back to speak to Ingo, she closed the door behind her, and then spoke up, her voice wasn't angry or anything like Ingo had expected though " ' ... Stay here for the rest of today ' " was all she said, sounded more like a statement than a request, Ingo was hoping for the request side if we're fully honest.. " ' ... what's with this decision.. You quite literally gave me a job to stay around contestants and make their lives 10x worse while here. ' " He asked, genuinely confused at what Wariai was thinking with doing this, but all she replied with was " ' ... just.. Just stay, Ingo, We'll speak again later, in further detail ' " she then left, locking the door to make sure Ingo stays put.
Ingo pouted at that sight, he wasn't a child! He didn't need to be kept in a room all day.. He looked around for a moment, it had only been a few minutes since Wariai had left but he already felt himself going insane from just being left alone and locked up in here, it brought up some not very pleasant childhood memories at best. He felt like relapsing. Going back to his old ways, he doubted Wariai left shit like drugs laying around though, but he craved some kind of relief, so he searched anyway. That's when he found it.. Adderall. It wasn't the stuff Ingo used to take, but a drug is a drug.
It didn't take him long to finish the whole bottle, it was relieving.. He had missed this so much. If only he thought about it sooner, he'd probably be in heaven (literally). Soon the effects started to take place, but what he didn't expect was a visit from someone he's been yearning for, for so so long..
" ' Ingo...? ' " The voice spoke up, concern evident in their voice, Ingo turned to face the person, and it was who he'd been waiting for.. His beloved.
" ' .. You're.. You're here! I-I've missed you sososo muchh my love! ' " Ingo exclaimed, joy overwhelmed him to the point where he was tearing up " ' I've wanted to see you for so long! And now, you're here with me! ' " he went over to interlock hands with his presence, his hands were cold, but that didn't matter to Ingo. They were together again, in which he wanted to stay like this forever.
His presence smiled softly at the sight of Ingo's joy, if only he was like this all the time.. " ' I've missed you too Ingo.. You're still as pretty as ever ' " He said, letting go of one of Ingo's hands to hold his cheek, taking in the sight of his significant other.
Ingo just leaned into the touch, soaking up every moment they had together. He didn't care if this was real or fake, atleast his presence was here to comfort him. He had needed this comfort for so long he didn't know how to express it.
After awhile of these hallucinations, Ingo's head started feeling fuzzy, seems like the effects were hitting him like a train wreck. To the point where he finally passed out. Seems like not everyone can handle the effects well..
It was quite a few hours before someone came to check up on Ingo. Wariai opened the door, she didn't see Ingo from where he was the last time she was here, she got a tiny bit concerned at that, she soon began searching the room before finding him passed out. This absolutely terrified her, what the fuck even happened..? Well, that's what she asked herself before noticing the bottle not to far from where Ingo lay.
He overdosed.
Great..
Wariai sighed, she shouldn't overreact, that would make this situation ten times worse than it already was. She picked up Ingo's limp body which was surprisingly light and placed him onto the bed nearby, this kid could be so stupid sometimes it worried her sick. Wariai may say she finds Ingo annoying, but they both know thats a lie. She adored Ingo, he was like her son. Her flesh and blood.. If only he didn't make the most impulsive decisions that could kill him. She loved him too much to let him die like this.
After a few hours, Ingo had finally woken up. Wariai was still sat there, beside him, knowing it would give him the comfort he always craved. Ingo noticed Wariai and immediately clinged onto her, as if she was going to abandon him. " ' please... Don't leave againn.. ' " his voice was sleepy and whiny, just like a small child
Wariai sighed at Ingo's pleads " ' You know I'd never leave you, right..? ' " her voice soft, to not startle Ingo
" ' ... mhmm. ' " He nodded in reply, yawning and leaning his head on Wariai's shoulder, making himself comfortable, which Wariai laughed at, he was always clingy during these times, it never failed to amuse her. Not. At. All
The two sat in silence for a while, soaking in the peace that was held in the room. Ingo soon fell back asleep, today had been alot for him anyway, he deserved the rest if Wariai was honest. She didn't leave the room that night, keeping Ingo company through the night.
Yeah.. Never leave.
Oh how that promise would be broken as quick as it was made.
