She'd imagined Janeway would stay aboard ship, but here they were. Shore leave. Janeway had suggested they pretend to be other people for a while. Seven had wondered at this, given the timing, but it seemed Janeway meant be themselves, but on ice skates, gliding arm-in-arm beneath a hemorrhaging sky.
Janeway said it was a shame it was dark. She'd wanted Seven to see the snow. She'd forgotten about Seven's enhanced vision, or perhaps this was part of the pretense.
Nevertheless.
Janeway's eyes were sparkling. Her cheeks were flushed. Seven said that she could see all that was necessary, surely.
