Work Text:

Jungkook had never expected anything like this. He started to expect the unexpected from his husband, but nothing like this. It was his college graduation and he knew that Yoongi and their daughter, Haeun would be there to celebrate, but he never expected him to bring along an entourage of people.

It didn’t help that Seokjin, famous actor and food fanatic was here, or the fact that the most popular rapper RM was standing there as well. Not to mention that Yoongi was one of the best known producers as well. They all stood in the part of the bleachers with large signs and noise makers to cheer for Jungkook. Personally, Jungkook was embarrassed beyond what anyone could imagine, but he kept a smile on his face the entire time.

Once it was his turn to walk and receive his diploma, the area with probably the most famous people currently in Korea started screaming, making so much noise, it sounded like they were a band. Jungkook just looked over and flashed one of his signature bunny smiles before returning to his seat.

The people around him kept asking him questions, like how he knew the most famous actor, or if he got to eat lunch with RM every day, just stupid questions like that. Jungkook just nodded at each question, ignoring most of them as he was too focused on getting out of the graduation robe and going home.

It took almost three hours until the entire ceremony was over. As soon as he could, Jungkook ran towards where he promised to meet Yoongi. On the far side of campus, next to the dance building. Jungkook ran as fast as he could to get there before the swarms of people decided it was autograph time.

Lucky for him, Yoongi flew under the radar, so when he arrived at their meeting place, there were people talking with Jin and Namjoon, but everyone left Yoongi and their daughter alone. Once Haeun spotter her father, she wiggled her way out of Yoongi’s arm, running straight towards him.

“Appa! Co.. Coograts! Good job!” She shouted, drawing the attention of all the people around them. Jungkook just smiled at her as he picked her up, giving her a kiss on the forehead.

“Thank you, Haeun. But you can’t keep screaming, you’re gonna bother the people around us.” He scolded her as he put her down and walked over to Yoongi.

Yoongi couldn’t help but smile. Three years ago he had graduated from the same college, and he could still remember the huge fuss Jungkook had made about it. But a lot had changed since back then. Yoongi was now married, and had a beautiful daughter. He never had expected this, so he wanted to make sure that Jungkook wouldn’t expect anything either.

“Looks like my Jungkookie is all grown up. Haeun, what do you think of Appa? Doesn’t he look really old?” Yoongi asked their daughter as he picked her up.

“Aboji, you’re older than appa.” Haeun announced which made everyone laugh.

“Okay, I think it’s time we head back to the house! I’m tired of signing autographs.” Jin announced as he pushed everyone towards the car. “It’s a special day, and I do not want that to be ruined by another impromptu RM concert.”

Namjoon laughed as he laced his fingers together with Jin’s. “Babe you’re always worrying, I’m sure people will leave us alone.”

“Aboji can we have cake when we get home?” Haeun asked as they were walking.

“No.” “Yes.” Were the answers both of her fathers gave at the same time.

“Yah. Jungkook, Our daughter didn’t ask you. You have no right to be feeding her cake before dinner.” Yoongi said as he glared towards his other half.

“But hyung, it’s a special day, Haeun deserves to have cake. Look how cute she is. She looks just like me! You never say no to me!” Jungkook whined as he gave Yoongi puppy eyes and a pouty lip.

“No, she doesn’t get cake. I am not having her eat cake before dinner.” Yoongi re enforced, “I will not fall for your puppy eyes and pouty lip crap anymore. It’s worn off after all these years.”

Jin and Namjoon started to laugh, causing the three others to turn and stare at them.

“This reminds me of that one time. The time when Jungkook really wanted cake but Yoongi wouldn’t give him any no matter how much he begged. Jungkook cried for an hour before Yoongi finally gave in.” Jin retold the story as he kept laughing.

“No! Hyung. That’s so embarrassing! Why would you ever say that out loud?!” Jungkook whined as he continued to pout.

“Well, Kookie, I guess somethings never change with you.” Yoongi said as he gave him a kiss.
