Zam and Pangi both flew towards the tree. Zam landed gracefully, (as she always did) though Pangi hadn't noticed his tree blocking the way, hitting it and falling towads the ground.
As she crashed down, she heard a snicker from the distance. There they were, Yeah Jaron, looking right at her.
And how embarrassing was that? The guy he liked watching her fall to the ground, his friend on the other hand giggled along with them.
She got up, with unsurprisingly no help from her peers. He walked towards the tree, now more upset and placed her present down. Zam seemed to do the same. Noticabley Jaron hadn't followed, maybe they've already placed his gift down? One can assume.
Jaron walked closer, leaning against Pangis shulker box. She seemed extremely giddy to see him. It wasn't out of character for them, after all he did kinda stalk her for a while. But it was for a video! Anyone would do the same.
"What's a girl like you doing here?" She grinned, lovingly looking into Pangis eyes. Pangi laughed nervously, what was with this guy? He looked over to Zam for help, though she seemed to disappear without reason.
"Great." He muttered under her breath. "Hm?" Jaron responded. Right, him.
"Oh, nothing! What about you Jaron? You have a fun gift in mind?" He asked curiously, adjusting the glasses on his face, he couldn't notice her face heating up, right?
She laughed, finally placing his shulker down, so that's where it was. "Look inside." They smiled, Pangi moved closer to open it, finding a ton of cookies and a netherite ingot. It was surprising from Jaron, who typically sported all diamond attire.
"Oh, that's neat.'' He smiled, closing the box. "Yeah? You think so?" She leaned in, clearly excited by the idea of him being interested.
"Um- Of course. I mean, anything you do is interesting." She smiled sweetly, sending butterflies in their stomach. "Thank you Pangi." Was all he could respond with. They stood next to him, leaning their head against her shoulder.
"So, you're just gonna wait here?" He asked, looking over at her. She shrugged, "I dunno. If you do then I will too. Y'know?" She wrapped his arm around them, patiently waiting for everyone to arrive.
"Since it's just the two of us..." He led on, hoping she wouldn't scare Pangi off. They were always cautious around him, especially after the whole prank debacle.
They pulled out a small box, was she asking to marry her? Too soon in the season, right? Then again, Jumper and Squiddo were perfectly happy to get together at the start.
He was probably overthinking it, was Jaron really the type to commit to something as huge as this? They weren't even together! Maybe he was too hopeful. Though they've known eachother for years.
"So... you gonna open it or what?" He questioned, waking Pangi from his thoughts. "Sorry!" She quickly opened it.
Inside was a small mistletoe, now, it wasn't uncommon for Pangi to joke around wirh her friends, especially in the romantic sense. Though she'd always shy away from Jaron, worrying they wouldn't reciprocate.
He supposed her theories were wrong then. Maybe Jaron did like her. Only one way to find out.
"What are these for Jaron?" She smiled, lightly pushing them back against the bark. "I think you know." She giggled, wrapping his arms around her.
He hung it above their heads, allowing Jaron to lean in and kiss him. She had to lift themselves up a little, but otherwise it was perfect.
Pangi pulled away, grinning profusely. "Heh, that was a great gift man." He smiles, turning her head away from him.
"Yeah, I tried." She responded, stating back up at Pangi.
"So, do we just wait here until the rest of them come back?" Jaron asked, leaning against the shulker box.
"Pretty much." She sat beside one, looking off into the horizon.
"At least we're spending it with eachother."
"I... I like that too."
