Their first Christmas together in Pemberley, and it’s one they’ll remember for the rest of their days.
Chaos, from the moment the front doors open.
Most of Elizabeth’s family have come to visit, celebrate, and cause general mayhem in the kitchen. The Darcys may have maids, but they’ve been given the day off, and there’s traditions to be kept.
Her sisters continue baking while Elizabeth steps outside for a moment.
“Are they palatable?” Fitzwilliam’s voice calls from around the corner. He swings into view, smiling.
She grins back, twice as bright. “We’ll find out soon.”
Heart-shaped sugar biscuits. Undoubtedly delicious.
