The Pend Pals had decided earlier this year that each one of them would plan a day out for the holidays, and today is Elizabeth’s day. Which means that they’re somewhere in the ordinary world, walking to the entrance gate of the Christmas market.
Once they got in, they saw an amazing sight. The green and gold garlands, the wreaths and the sparkly red bows gave the whole town a festive atmosphere. The snowy streets looked lively, with so many people walking around and looking at the products in the stalls.
Elizabeth quickly leads them to the map, showing them where they are, how the stalls are organised and the meeting point for lunch. Then, they split into multiple groups and went in different directions.

When lunch time came, the Pend Pals got a table near the burger and waffles stand and they took turns to get their food.
As Elizabeth waited in line to order her burger, she saw Drake, her friend from Hartfeld University for that little bit of time when she attended the school. At least before she got pulled through a mirror portal.
She waved at him and he looked surprised, like he didn’t believe what he was seeing. Then, he walked up to her, and they started talking. She apologises for suddenly cutting contact and not showing up at school anymore and explains why she disappeared from the school.
In the two years that they lost contact, she was pulled through a portal and ended up in the lake of a magic school, and then she learned spells and fought a villain who experimented on children and one who causes natural disasters for fun.
By the time she finished her story, it was their turn to order food. She got a holiday themed burger, and Drake got the deluxe burger. When they got their food, they headed to the dining tables. Elizabeth went to her friends, while Drake called his friends to come over to Elizabeth’s table.
After quick introductions, the whole group ate and had fun telling stories of their adventures. Atlas was listening to Drake and Elizabeth recount their embarrassing stories from Hartfeld, while Griffin, Beckett and Liam were talking about disaster relief, science and politics. Zeph and Maxwell were talking about practical pranks, parties and photography. Aster, Shreya and Olivia were talking about fashion, business and expectations.
Once they finished eating, they kept walking together. Griffin noticed that Beckett and Liam were blushing and they seemed both really passionate about their talking subject while they were talking together, so he enlisted the help of his new friends and the rest of the Pend Pals to get the two of them alone, in cute and romantic situations.
