Work Text:
Joseph pauses. His mind was racing, trying to think. Trying to latch on to the belief that he shouldn’t do this. Trying to make himself fully believe that. But he didn’t want to. He didn’t want to stay confined anymore. And Moroni was offering him the key.
Joseph was still looking into his eyes, but his gaze deepened as the seconds passed, losing himself. He felt as if he were staring directly into Moroni’s soul. The color of his eyes was that of an ocean in a painting. A beautiful, intricate painting. His skin was that of snow freshly fallen on a winter’s morning. He was not large in stature, for he was even more petite than Joseph. Almost diminutive. Things Joseph was completely unfamiliar with. Any man could look at Moroni and know that he was not of this realm.
What felt like seconds to Joseph had been minutes in reality. Moroni was worried that maybe he had not been gentle enough, that perhaps he had put too much on Joseph too quickly. He was, of course, wrong, for his celestial nature made him all too gentle.
Moroni noticed how Joseph seemed lost in a trance. He was afraid to say anything, but, nevertheless, he spoke. “Are you alright?” He whispered caringly, pulling his hands back slightly.
Suddenly, Joseph holds the back of Moroni’s neck and pulls the two of them into a kiss. Moroni supports Joseph’s back with his arms. Their mouths and tongues entangle with each other like they need it to survive. Moroni took this as granted consent to his previous question.
Moroni was now pinned down against the sheets as Joseph desperately tried to keep him there. The two of them were breathing heavily and wincing in pleasure against each other’s bodies. Their hands were interlocked. The angel’s wings were cradling Joseph.
Joseph unbuttons his pants and slides his undergarments down, now completely exposed. Moroni, on the contrary, was still clothed in white robes.
Moroni slowly sits up and says “One moment.” Joseph stays put on the bed while Moroni stands up, undoing the tie which binds the robes together.
The silk slowly drapes down all of Moroni’s body, accentuating his figure. His body looked as if it had been sculpted by Heavenly Father himself. His wings were splayed out behind him, casting shadows along every curve. Joseph couldn’t keep from letting small sounds escape his lips as he beheld Moroni’s form.
Joseph takes Moroni’s hand in his and guides him to join him on the bed. Moroni follows. They begin to embrace each other desperately, their arousal now unmasked. Joseph’s nails dig into Moroni’s back, which makes Moroni want to comfort him even more.
Moroni pulls back, his thumb softly brushing over Joseph’s lip. “Shh…” He whispers.
Joseph tries to stay calm, knowing that he would finally be getting what he’s wanted for so very long. He gently holds Moroni’s face to comfort himself. Moroni does the same to Joseph.
For a while, they simply gaze at one another in admiration. Their lips were parted and their breathing was shallow. They had always loved holding each other, and this time it felt even more sentimental.
Moroni takes a deep breath and slowly runs his hands down along Joseph’s neck, preparing him.
Moroni’s hands stop at Joseph’s shoulders. He gently turns Joseph around, leaving Joseph’s back pressed against his chest.
Joseph could feel Moroni’s length pressing against his backside. He grips onto Moroni’s delicate hand with his own.
“Angel…Please..” Joseph beggeth unto him.
“I understand.” Moroni speaks gently. “Do not strain yourself..”
Moroni gently pushes forward and into Joseph. They then exchange a loud moan.
Moroni felt that he had to be very careful with himself now, to not rush or startle Joseph. His arms wrap around Joseph’s waist.
They made love all throughout the night. Occasionally, the roles of who was penetrating the other would switch. But, they both could be nothing but gentle with each other, no matter how desperate they were, or how hard they tried.
At around four in the morning, they were both holding each other at the edge of the bed, completely spent. Joseph was trying not to fall asleep, for he knew that when he were to open his eyes again, the angel would be gone.
Moroni looks at Joseph, knowing that he must leave soon.
“Joseph..Close your eyes…” Moroni pleads, holding the back of Joseph’s head. “I shouldn’t have kept you up so late.”
“I wish to stay with you…” Joseph whispers.
“I must depart before sunrise. Please, allow yourself to rest..Your family will worry if you are fatigued tomorrow.” Moroni says this knowing that Joseph would be off tomorrow no matter how much sleep he got tonight. He just wanted Joseph to allow himself to relax.
Joseph felt melancholic, but he did not object. “If you do insist…I trust you.” He spoke with reverence.
Just a moment after, Joseph fell asleep, bathing in the feeling of Moroni’s warmth.
Moroni gently kisses Joseph’s cheek before carefully shuffling out of his hold. He makes sure Joseph is comfortable, dressing him and tucking him in.
“Farewell, my love.”
Moroni reaches out and touches Joseph’s cheek one last time before vanishing into the night, leaving behind only the faint angelic aura which surrounds him perpetually.
It was a beautiful occurrence which took place that night, and as they were apart, they could still feel the eternal bond between them. They could feel the connection between their spirits, whether it be holy or not. Holiness was not everything. Though reverence is beautiful and they felt it very deeply for each other, they both wanted to be freed from the shackles of the label of holiness. The label of what is holy and what is not is a confinement in itself. The beauty of truly being intertwined with another is greater than any label of man.
