Dear Diary,
Today I met the Captain of the Knights of Favonius at the meeting to plan Rerir's defeat. His name was Varka, if my memory serves me right. Quite the odd fellow, he was. But nonetheless, I thought he was rather interesting. I'd like to pick at his brain a bit more, the next time we meet.

Dear Diary,
Sir Varka asked me to grab a drink with him at The Flagship tonight. I wonder what his intentions are. He's a funny, outgoing man. He's loud and rambunctious, but I think he's quite the charmer. He seems like a heavy drinker. Perhaps I've found my match for a drinking partner, haha. I can see this possibly becoming an evening routine of sorts.

Dear Diary,
I really have no clue as to what came over me last night. Perhaps the liquor was too strong. Yes, that must be it. Why else would I kiss Varka? It was a brief touch of the lips, but that doesn't relieve me of my transgression. He brushed it off and left abruptly, although that was entirely my own fault. I hope this doesn't lead to an awkward atmosphere in the next meeting.
However, he didn't seem to be against it. Perhaps the opposite, in fact. His flushed face was very... captivating.

Dear Diary,
I decided to meet with Varka for lunch tomorrow morning. If my suspicions are true, then perhaps he may be less opposed to the idea of... us, than I had initially presumed. I hope I shan't be too off the mark. I'd hate to lose someone as lovely as him. If I don't act now, I'm afraid I'll lose my chance. He returns to Mondstadt in a few weeks, and I don't want to lose this opportunity.

Dear Diary,
Miss Nefer has been eyeing my interactions with Varka with a rather unsettling glint in her eyes. Although, her smirk tells me that she must've caught onto our relationship. Hmph, I reckon she is in no position to judge, for the way she caves into fulfilling all of the Moonchanter's requests is comical, to say the least. On another note, perhaps I should ask him to accompany me on a stroll along the Eye of Kratti tonight.

Dear Diary,
Varka insisted on proposing to me with a ring, flowers, balloons — the usual fanfare. I had told him that there was no need to, but he wouldn't relent. Well, I suppose his insistence had some merit to it afterall, for I cannot deny that my heart was dangerously aflutter the whole time. It seems like that man has made me go soft, after all these years. Archons, I truly love this fool of mine.

Dear Diary,
At the crack of dawn today, I thought I heard I heard a rooster crow, but it was just my dear Varka. He had looked into the mirror and found his first grey hair. He was whining about how lucky he thought I was, "destined to never go grey", as he put it. I beg to differ, though. I don't think he realises the demerits of outliving everyone you know.
He's made me feel a fear I thought I had long overcome.

Dear Diary,
Lately, all Varka's been doing is staring out the window towards the setting sun, or writing letters to his knights back at Mondstadt. He retired from the Knights of Favonius years ago, but I suppose bonds once forged never fade. After he retired, we began living together permanently. I wish we could've done that sooner. We seldom go out on our nightly walks anymore. Varka says that his bones have grown weary. And yet, he still pushes himself to come out with me for my sake. I am at a loss for words. I wish these days with him would never end.

The day finally arrived. I bid my final farewells.
He was at peace.
I feel empty.
-----------------------------------------
Dear Varka,
I hope you're doing well, wherever you are right now. I brought a bouquet of your favourite cecelias. I wish I could've given these to you instead of placing them on your grave, hah. Living has been hard, without your cheery laughter to accompany it. Every single day feels like a chore without you.
I miss you dearly.
