at the end of the day wumuti and rui are just typical normal single lesbians.
begging for a girlfriend every single day but not doing anything to change it.
their friends have to listen to their whining every day and they are sick of it.
so when hyun and haru sit together at their usual hangout spot and all they can complain about is their respective lesbians again.. they decide they’ve had enough. they’ll set them up on a date no matter what.

wumuti and rui vaguely knew of each other's existence. they saw pictures on social media because of their shared friends but neither of them ever interacted with the other one.
rui finally found out who her mysterious date is going to be when she was already in front of the coffee shop. she stops walking and looks at hyun like he has grown a second head.
‘are you crazy?? have you seen her? she’s way too beautiful for my meager existence’, rui argues immediately but before she can turn around, she is shoved into the little shop.
she stumbles inside and hyun shouts ‘don’t fumble her then!’. it’s the last thing she hears before the door closes again and the cold winter air is once again shut out of the cozy place.
rui takes a deep breath and pats down her hair before stepping further into the place. wumuti is easy to spot with her red hair. she’s the star of any room she walks into. she’s sitting at a small table in the corner and is crafting little figurines with a napkin.
rui’s smile isn't forced when she walks up to her, ‘wumuti?’, she asks nervously like this pretty lady could be anyone but her.
the red head looks up and her face lights up when she realizes who’s standing in front of her.
she immediately stands up as she says, ‘yes thats’s me!’. she shakes rui’s hand and quickly pulls out a chair for her. in her head rui is screaming about wumuti’s soft hands but on the outside she just continues to smile shyly. she sits down with a ‘thank you’ and fixes the collar of her sweater which wasn't crooked in the first place.
wumuti sits back down and holds out a menu for her.
‘I’m so glad you could make it!’, she says with a big smile.
rui takes the menu and hopes her hands aren't shaking as she meets the olders eyes. the prettiest eyes she has ever seen by the way.
‘hyun made sure that I did’, rui says and immediately widens her eyes before wildly flailing her hands in front of her.
‘not that I didn't want to come!’, she quickly continues and wumuti just laughs quietly.
‘you’re cute’, she says and looks at rui fondly.
that shuts up the younger and she bites her lips before quickly bowing her head to look at the menu.
wumuti just smiles at her and continues her napkin work while rui picks her food and drink. she sits down a folded flower in front of rui’s face with the words ‘for you’ and the younger decides in that moment that she’s going to marry her.
she widens her eyes again and carefully takes it into her hand with the biggest smile on her face.
‘for me? thank you so much! It’s so pretty.. you’re very talented!’, she says while meeting wumuti’s eyes again and then setting the gift back down.

when their orders arrive, rui giggles at the cherry cake wumuti picked.
‘it really fits you’, she says while pointing at the other’s hair.
wumuti smirks before leaning over and softly poking rui’s cheek with her pointer finger, ‘and strawberries fit your pretty blush’.
rui’s eyes go all round and big again and she swallows down a whine that wanted to crawl up the back of her throat.
‘I might not make it out of this place alive if you keep going’, rui pouts around the straw of her milkshake.
‘don't worry I’m good at cpr’, muti counters with a smirk before trying her cake. she bites her fork and rui almost chokes.
this time she does whine and puts down her glass a little too aggressively. she looks at wumuti angrily but it looks more like a cute cat to the older one.
wumuti giggles before speaking, ‘sorry you’re just too cute when you get flustered like that rui’.
rui quickly stuffs her face with her cake but that just makes her look even cuter.

while they eat they get to know each other better. without realizing it they’ve been talking for an hour and smiling for the whole time.
when wumuti pulls out her credit card and pays for them both, rui turns into a tomato again.
‘I don't even wanna hear it’, wumuti declares after paying and while standing up to put her jacket back on, ‘you can pay next time’.
at that rui lights up like a christmas tree.
‘next time?’, she asks with hope dripping from her words.
wumuti helps rui into the arms of her jacket before answering, ‘I really hope to see you again rui. I’ve had a great time today’.
rui hurries to the door so she can hold it open for wumuti and she smiles proudly for doing at least this for the other.
‘I would really like that too wumuti’, rui answers shyly and swipes a stray hair behind her ear.
wumuti holds out her phone to rui at that and the younger puts in her phone number with the cutest smile on her face.
‘thank you. you said you walked? can I walk you home?’, wumuti asks after pocketing her phone.
rui bites her lip and then nods, ‘that would be really cute, yes’.
they start walking and wumuti giggles.
‘cute huh?’, wumuti asks and rui just whines in response.
rui puts a hand in her jacket pocket and leaves one out in a totally not suspicious manner.
wumuti smiles at that and slowly slips her hand into rui’s who squeezes in shock but smiles happily.

when they reach rui’s apartment, wumuti insists on walking her up to her door. they stand in front of each other, just staring, for a while. wumuti smirks and giggles before speaking, ‘I’m really glad I listened to haru’.
rui gathers all of her confidence and then leans forward so she can kiss wumuti’s cheek.
‘I’m glad I listened to hyun too’, she says with a sweet smile on her face. wumuti is the one blushing now and she can't wait to see more of rui’s confident moments.

safe to say that hyun and haru have something else to complain about in the future, because the two girls will never shut up about their wonderful girlfriend who’s so incredible and kind and did you know that she’s the prettiest girlfriend ever?
