Buck just woke up. And he asked what happened? Maddie said you throw up blood. Buck went to ask why? But Maddie asked why didn’t you go and see your doctor.
Buck said I don’t even know what is going on. Maddie said your leg threw a blood clot. Buck said what! Maddie said yeah. She said you should have listened to me to begin with.
Buck asked and what is that? Maddie said you should have gotten that leg cut off. Buck asked why are you even back here? Maddie said I talked to the doctor and he is going to have the surgery room ready.
Buck said WHAT! He said no. He said you can’t do that. Maddie said yes I can.
Buck went to say something. But Maddie moved up to him. And she said lay back down. Buck said no you can’t do that. He said you are not supposed to be back here.
Maddie said yes I can. Everyone could hear the brother and sister yelling at each other. Buck said YOU ARE NOT MY POWER ATTORNEY OR NEXT OF KIN. Maddie said what! She said yes I am.
Buck said no you are not. He said I changed that after what you almost did when I was in the hospital the first time. Maddie said that is not true. She said you are just high the first time. Buck was about to say something.
But the nurse came in. And she said to Maddie please leave the room so Mr. Buckley can get some sleep. Maddie said okay. Buck said I need to talk to the doctor.
The nurse said you can after you get some sleep. Buck said I don’t need any sleep right now. The nurse had some medicine that she put in Buck’s line in his arm. And Buck went to sleep. But at first he tried to fight it but it didn’t work. The doctor came in. And he asked, is he ready for the surgery? The nurse said yes he is. The doctor said good.
The doctor said come on. He said the surgery room is ready. The nurse said okay. They started to move the bed.
They got to the surgery room. The other nurse in the room. They knew of Buck. And one of the nurses asked is this what Mr. Buckley wants. The doctor said he is not the one that signed off on this.
The doctor said it was his next of kin Maddiline Catherine Buckley-Kendall signed off on it. He said come on. They all got to work. The nurse that knew what was going on with Buck had a bad feeling.
They got done. And the other nurse went to the head nurse and asked for them to pull up Evan Christopher Buckley's file on the computer. The head nurse asked why?
The nurse told the head nurse what was going on. The head nurse said yes I will. The nurse said thank you. The head nurse said you are welcome. She said while I do that you all go to work. The other nurse said okay.
That's what they did. The head nurse searched for Buck's file and it took her longer than normal to find it but once she found it she pulled up his file.
The head nurse opens the file. What she saw completely made her angry and her blood boil and she got up and ran straight to the person in charge of the hospital and didn't bother knocking on the door and walked right into the office.
One of the bored members looked up from talking with the chief of the hospital and he asked what the hell do you think you are doing coming in here without knocking? The head of the nurses said we have a problem. She said we could have a lawsuit on our hands.
The guy asked what do you mean? The head nurse asked, do you remember that firefighter that got that fire truck on his leg? The guy said yeah. He asked what about it? The head nurse said somehow they managed to save the leg
The head nurse said well his sister wanted the leg to be cut off. She said but the doctors listened to Mrs. Buckley. She said well he is back today because he threw up blood and I guess Mr. Buckley changed his power of attorney and next of kin.
The head nurse said a new nurse let his sister go and see him. And she said the nurse got a new doctor. She said the sister said she is on the paperwork and the sister got the leg cut off. And she said the other nurse came to me.
The head nurse said I looked in the file. She said the power of attorney and next of kin is not of the sister. The guy asked who it was then? The head nurse said it looks like a husband and wife.
While the head nurse was talking to the board. Buck woke up. And he looked down. And what he saw. He was so mad.
Buck wanted to throw things around. But he didn’t. He just started to cry. He was so lost in his head. That he didn’t hear anyone come into the room.
Shannon went up to Buck’s bed. And she said oh honey. Buck looked up at the voice. He said please come here. Shannon said yeah I will.
Buck said thank you. Shannon said you are welcome. She lay down next to Buck. And Buck put his face in Shannon’s chest. And he started to cry.
Shannon said shhh it is okay. After a while Buck pulls back. And he asked where
Eddie was?. Shannon said he will be here shortly. She said he is currently calming down.
Buck asked why ? Shannon said because he knew that he would go to hospital jail. Buck said oh okay. He said that is a good idea.
Shannon said yeah. Just then the door opens again. Shannon and Buck looked up. And it was Eddie at the door. He said sorry I am late showing up.
Buck said it’s all good. He asked are you better now? Eddie said yeah. Buck said that is good.
Eddie said yeah. Buck said I just lost my job. He said thanks to my sister. He said now I am going to call my dad. Eddie and Shannon said you don’t mean Philli?
After Buck’s surgery.
The doctor went up to Maddie. Eddie and Shannon were wondering why. But they didn’t say anything yet. The doctor said the surgery went well. Eddie looked at Shannon.
And they got up. And Eddie asked why are you updating her? And he asked what surgery? The doctor said she is Mr. Buckley’s power of attorney and next of kin. Eddie and Shannon said no she is not.
Eddie said Buck changed that before he left the hospital the first time. The doctor asked how do you know that? Eddie said not only am I Buck’s work partner but we all three are together and Buck told us that he put me as power of attorney and my wife/Buck’s girlfriend is the next of kin. He asked did you look at his file?
Chimney came up to Eddie. And he said leave the doctor and Maddie alone. Eddie asked why? He said I have every right to know.
Eddie looked at Chimney and he can't believe the guy thinks he has the right to tell him what to do when it doesn't concern him.
Eddie said how about you stay out of this Chimney.
Chimney said I'm Maddie’s boyfriend so it does concern me.
Shannon has never liked Chimney or Maddie and she can see Eddie getting angry.
Shannon said Eddie go and sit down and I'll handle this.
Eddie knows that he has been put in hospital jail and he better do as his wife says.
