Before delving into this project, I want to clarify what are the reasons it exists in the first place.
I am 24 years old. I started reading fanfictions when I was 13, merely a child who loved fandoms. Now I have a Master's Degree (my fields of study have been Classics and Contemporary History). I'm telling you this to let you know that I'm not a total newbie to the field of literature.
Though I do not condone the use of AI in "official" publications, I do think it could be an enrichment to the world of fanfictions. I'm sure that many of you have been in a situation in which they wanted to read a specific fic that didn't exist yet and that they didn't have the means or will to write. Those of you who support smaller fandoms know what I'm talking about.
That's the main reason why I decided to create this project, which is a joint effort between me and the base version of Gemini. I didn't just give detailed and original prompts to the engine, but corrected it frequently when I felt it was betraying the nature of the characters or being imprecise.
This fanfictions wouldn't exist if it weren't for me. They wouldn't exist either if Gemini didn't write them.
I understand that many of you could be against the nature of this project and the use of AI in creative works. I respect your opinion and ask you to respect mine.
On the other hand, I'm open to the criticisms and thoughts of those of you who are curious about it and, maybe, could even be inspired by it.
