Gao Tu looked up at the tall X building, humming.
Wenlang had a meeting here today with Hua Yong and Sheng Shaoyou, so they decided to bring Lele along, as it was a Sunday and their pup didn't have school that way. As it happened, little Peanut's usual nanny called out sick, so he had two toddlers to look after now. Which wasn't so bad, the pups were so sweet, his inner Omega proud to keep them both safe and happy (because as much as Hua Sheng wasn't his son, it was hard not to be protective of the boy due to being similar in age to Lele).
All in all, it was an average end of the week, the sun was bright, the children were laughing, the Omega sitting on a bench in front of the office building, keeping a firm eye on them.
So, naturally, that's when it all started to go wrong.
Gao Tu should have known, after all, nothing in his life goes the way he wants it to, not long term at the very least. Besides getting back with Shen Wenlang, that is...
... so when the foul smell of that person he hasn't seen in years crosses the bunny's nose, the Omega found himself in front of the pups, hiding them behind him in a protective manner as Gao Ming sneered at him, the usual look of pure hatred and greed gracing the 'son' and 'grandson' he never wanted.
"Gao Tu! You useless piece of...!"
"Not another word." he kept his voice firm, noticing the movements of Hua Yong's guards to his side. Good, the Enigma and the Alphas would be in the know soon, there was nothing this pitiful excuse of a 'father' could do to them, not here in front of all these eyes and in this particular location. "I have nothing to give you. You should leave us alone, as you have all these years."
"Oh no, I have a lotttttt of debt to pay off and if you won't do it..." those disgusting eyes of his centered on Lele, the pup shivering in fear behind him and little Peanut, the other pup already fiercely protecting his own, even at this age. "... then someone..."
Pup, must protect pup! Don't let this monster near the baby! Must... both pups!
Gao Tu saw red, not the Alpha kind of red, but the one that in many ways was even more ferocious than that.
Parental rage, protectiveness... whatever you wanted to call it. He doubted it was something Gao Ming ever felt in his pitiful life for either his son or daughter. Before the other man could continue, the scent of sage moved through the air, almost dusty, making anyone who was around to inhale it uncomfortable. It wasn't in an Omega's nature to fight like this, no, and Gao Tu had already made so many excuses for this 'father' of his in the past.
But that was before Lele. He won't allow anyone to touch his pup or little Peanut. Anyone.
"You...!" Gao Ming was clearly not expecting this reaction from his usual meek, forgiving, estranged son but felt rage that the other felt like had any right to stand up to him. Before he could continue, the disgusting Alpha began to choke on ... were those oranges? Wide-eyed, he tried to fight back against that scent as he watched a relieved Gao Tu staring at an... Alpha stepping in. An S-class Alpha, no less. A being his own scent could do nothing against. "S-Stop it!"
"Stop it?" Sheng Shaoyou's voice was cold, calculating as Shen Wenlang rushed towards Gao Tu and the pups, the Omega burying his head in his Alpha's scent gland for comfort as the kids also climbed on his legs, the man keeping the three of them safe. "Where was that when you were bothering Mr. Gao and the children, hmm? You see, I'm usually a good, nice person, I don't want to hurt anyone. I draw the line at someone wanting to hurt Omega or pups in any way."
As Gao Ming let out a pitiful, loud whine and tried to get away from the oppressive pheromones (which thankfully impacted Gao Tu but barely due to his own Alpha's scent keeping them safe), the Omega pulled slightly away from Wenlang's gland, confused as to where the Enigma was. Hua Yong typically wasn't far behind his mate...
... oh there he was, a giant smile on his face, actively cheering on his Alpha as Gao Tu's father scrambled away at last. Truly, those two had an interesting bond, in his opinion, but he could understand being a fan of seeing one's partner being protective...
As Peanut ran towards his parents, who were now scenting him and ensuring that he was safe, the Omega and Alpha couple moved to do the same with their son, Gao Tu hoping that neither pup would remember this... and yet... he really needed to work on this.
There wouldn't be a next time for Gao Ming.
And if there was, Gao Tu would be ready to fight tooth and nail.
