I can’t let them down. I need to do better.
December is soon here, which means the Christmas toons have come back to celebrate with the children and others! They were excited to come back and gather with the other toons after staying in the Christmas area for some time to have some fun before they had to go back until next year.
Rudie was jumping ecstatically like he always had whenever Christmas was coming up, considering he always does that literally every single day when it isn’t even as close to December. Ginger was also happy she was out, she got to see her cousin Cosmo again! Ginger needed to ask him to help her with baking again..she hasn’t been doing too great recently with her cookies tasting a bit stale or burnt despite the design looking cute and pretty. Coal is well…her usual self, still as grumpy and isn’t as excited for the holiday season as the others.
As for our holiday main, Bobette, she was also cheerful and excited for the season to come! Except she wasn’t really feeling it, of course she wanted to make presents for the other but she felt a bit more nervous than usual considering how GardenView was growing more everyday, meaning she would still be making more presents than usual. But it won’t stop her from making them, what kind of toon would she be if she isn’t making children happy? I mean Shrimpo is one but she isn’t like him at all. She reassured herself that it wouldn’t be difficult, she could just ask Rudie and Ginger to help with preparing and wrapping gifts!
“CHRISTMAS IS HERE!!!!” Rudie exclaimed excitedly, still jumping like a kid on a sugar rush. “Rudie, Christmas isn’t even near yet..only in like 2 weeks or so,” Ginger replied following with a little giggle coming from her. Bobette was really glad that they were jolly and excited for this year, she wants this Christmas to be perfect just like the last few years, like how it is expected of her.
“Bobette!” she quickly snapped out of her thoughts when she saw a tall dark-skinned with brown curly hair approaching her, Arthur, one of the founders of GardenView. “Arthur!” Bobette replied running up to him with a cheerful smile on her face, “It’s nice seeing everyone here so happy and jolly.” she said, keeping the same smile on her face. “It sure is. Also, Bobette, can I see you in your room soon? Something important i gotta ask,” Bobette gave him a weird look but quickly nodded at the request, she thought it was probably something great he wanted to ask her, well best not to worry about it now! She still needed to get all the other toons Christmas list before her meet and greet that’s coming up very soon.
Getting the toons wishlist was very easy, considering she knows what to get everyone like Shelly for example, every year she wants something dinosaur related or Tisha who wants more cleaning supplies. Anyhoo, after all of that she went to see what Ginger and the others were doing. She smelt something in the air, something like..cookies? It smells great actually, she went to go check it out and found Ginger and Cosmo baking together. “Oooo this looks great! Mind if I have one?” Bobette asked, picking up one of the cookies, “Go ahead! I actually wanted to see if I've gotten a bit better at baking,” Ginger replied, going back to help Cosmo with decorating the rest of the cookies. Bobette took a bite and Ginger did get better! Well..kinda, it still tasted burnt, but hey! at least she was still trying. “Ginger tastes great! Just keep on practicing and you’ll get better!” Bobette exclaimed, Ginger looked at her and gave her a hopeful smile.
Next, she went to see what Rudie was doing, and saw that he was with the Circus Trio decorating the center of GardenView with presents, snow and adding ornaments on the tree. Bobette noticed that Looey was having some trouble wrapping the fake gifts, so she did what she always does, help him wrap it! “Thanks Bobette! I would’ve looked helpless sitting here confused doing this,” Looey said, “No problem Looey! Next time, try measuring the wrapping paper first so it won't be so wonky!” Looey nodded. Bobette went to see how the tree was looking and it looked great as usual! “BOBETTEEE!!” She heard someone yelling from above and saw Rudie putting the star on the tree, “HEYA RUDIE! BE CAREFUL UP THERE!” she yelled back at him, he gave her a thumbs up and a big smile before going back to putting the star on the tree.
Bobette went to see what Coal was doing and wasn’t surprised to see her playing with Pebble, Dandy’s pet, ‘They looked so cute together!’ she thought before going up to them. “Hi Coal, Pebble!” She petted both of them before going in her pocket and grabbing a cookie that Cosmo made and split it in half to give to the pet rocks. They both seemed pleased with the cookies as they both gave low growls sounding like they liked it, which made Bobette feel satisfied.
It was now time for the meet and greet! And as she expected there were more children than what she imagined, but it was still as great as ever! The rest of the day went smoothly, with her greeting everyone and helping with things around GardenView so she can prepare for her next meet and greet tomorrow with the children coming in. Bobette had to admit she was still a bit nervous but it’s nothing to really worry about right now! She was excited to see what the children wanted, she might even see familiar faces too! Bobette knew that this Christmas was gonna be more special than the other Christmases they had at GardenView. Bobette was quickly snapped out of her thoughts when she heard Arthur calling her by one of the elevators; she had almost forgotten about what Arthur asked her! So, Bobette hurried over to him and they both descended to the Christmas area.
“You’ve been doing so great with the last meet and greet sessions! It was really festive.” Arthur said as they both reached Bobette’s room to talk about upcoming meet and greets and present-giving. “Oh thank you! I’m always working to spread the holiday cheer!” Bobette replied, going over to her desk. “I’m wondering…What if we make TWICE as gifts this year!” Arthur continued.

“Imagine all of the happy faces on the children!”
‘twice as many gifts?’ Bobette thought.
“Twice as many? But who’s gonna make all those presents?” Bobette replied with a bit of worry on her face with a wry smile. “Well you of course! Unless you don’t think you can?” Arthur gave Bobette a sad and worried expression. “No! No! I could most definitely make the presents!”

‘could I?’
“Well only if you are sure! You’re always so great at sharing the holiday spirit!” Arthur replied, "So many people are very happy because of you! Thank you Bobette. You've never caused us any trouble. Well I have some other matters to attend to. It's been lovely to catch up on our plans for the holiday! Let me know if you need anything at all! Knowing you, I'd doubt it! haha!" He continued smiling at her before leaving.
“Haha, bye! Have a holiday-filled day!” Bobette replied back.

Twice as many gifts…Am I able to handle it?
It’s expected of me.
I have to do this.
I need to do this.
I can do this.
Bobette went to sit in a chair wondering how she’ll need to make more than one gift this year for each child that comes to see her, this means that she won’t have enough time to see her friends because now she has to keep working to satisfy the kids. But that won’t bring her down! She has to make it perfect! Nothing will go wrong!

Bobette sat there for 4 hours straight thinking of what to do. Until she thought of something. What if she gave tasks to Rudie, Ginger and Coal to help around! It would make things easier and faster!
