Something was off and the boys could feel it. Will wasn't himself and they knew it.
“Mike you've known him the longest, something's up right” Lucas whispered to Mike, they were still all in the van so they had to be discreet.
“I mean yeah, but in the whole time I've known him we've never once biked to a damn convenience store for shakes” He scrunched his face when he realized what was happening. “We’re so fucked” He scanned the van trying to figure out a solution.
“We gotta knock him out,” Dustin whispers to Mike and Lucas.
“What are you guys talking about?” Will comes over to where the boys are sitting, causing them to jump.
“Just about how excited we are to take down Vecna” Mike nervously answered. The corners of Will’s mouth curved into an eerie grin.
“Yeah, I can't wait to kill the son of a bitch” The words came out of Will’s mouth, but not in his tone. Mike knew he had to do something he had to free Will, and if he didn't the whole plan would fail. They didn't have anything to sedate him this time, or heat to burn it out of him.
“Guys I think we need to pull over” Mike stood up.
“We're not pulling over there's no ti-” Murray yelled from the front.
“It's an emergency and if you don't pull this damn car over I'll come up there and make you” Mike yelled back almost immediately, making the rest of the car go silent. Murray then puts his foot on the brakes and Mike opens the truck and hops out grabbing Robin and Joyce. Will tried to follow but Lucas and Dustin distracted him.
“Look, that's not Will, he's spying for Vecna and he knows our plan not only that we don't have heat or sedative, but I was thinking what if we reset him so to say” Mike sped through everything as fast and as quietly as he could.
“I don't- I don't understand what do you-” Joyce looked worried, but Mike cut her off before she could start rambling.
“Look I wish I had time to explain, but I need to know who ‘Tammy’ or whatever is” He looks directly at Robin who now looks extremely awkward.
“Uh, Wheeler…” She scratches the back of her head.
“Who's his crush Robin I need to…” He stops when he realizes what the look was for. “It's not- It can't be- Really?” A million thoughts were running through his head. This whole time Will had a crush on him and he didn't even know. All those times he would talk to him about El and Will sat there so supportive. All those times he saw Will coloring or smiling and he just wanted to hug him and never let go he just could've.
“Mike are you-” Before Robin could finish Mike jumped back into the van and grabbed Will.
“Vecna or Henry or whatever the hell your name is, I know you're in there and we're going to end your ass once and for all” Before anyone could move Mike cupped Will's face pulling him into a kiss.
“What the hell?” Kali whispered to El
“I- I don't even know” She responds.
When Mike pulls away Will falls to the floor, his body started to shake for a bit until eventually it stopped.
“Will, are you okay?” Mike placed a hand on the boy's cheek. Will’s eyes shot open and the bright green had returned.
“Mike? What's going on, where are we?” Before he got an answer Mike pulled him into the tightest hug.
“No way that true love’s kiss bullshit works” Murray commented from the front after witnessing everything in the mirror.
“Vecna was using you to spy again but we got you back, you're safe now” Mike’s voice was gentle. He spoke in a way nobody had ever heard him speak before.
“So, your first thought when you found out he was possessed was to kiss him?” Jonathan comments, giving Mike the world's nastiest look.
“YOU KISSED ME?” Will Sat up in shock.
“It was to save you…” Mike looked around awkwardly as if to ask someone to back his claims.
“This kid has gotta die” Hopper tries to pull his gun out before Joyce lowers his arm.
“No mom I'm with Hop on this one” Jonathan tries to reach over Nancy to grab her gun.
“Why me?” Mike puts his hands up in fear.
“You kiss my daughter and now you kiss my son… THIS KIDS GOTTA GO JOYCE” Hopper’s eye starts to twitch.
“I'm sorry I'm still lost. Why did you need to kiss me to free me?” Will was still confused.
“Well what's the last thing you remember?” Dustin asked.
“I saw Max and Holly, I saved them and now I'm here”
“So you don't remember what you told us at the WSQK” Mike questioned, he still hadn't moved from Will’s side.
“No”
“Well um” Mike laughs a bit before reaching his hand out “Hi, I'm Tammy” This makes Will’s eyes widen. He looks at Mike then at Robin who's giving an awkward smile.
“So you know?”
“Yeah, you kinda told us all” Mike gave another awkward laugh.
“And Mr. Clark” Lucas adds in.
“Vecna made me come out to our science teacher… This bitch gotta die”
