The heavy rattle of armor echoed down the stone hallway. A small convoy of knights, followed close behind by delegates, kings, queens, and princes from many nations. They talked as they marched down the stone hallways. They spoke of trade deals, peace treaties, marriages, etcetera. The Knights were not involved in these deals nor cared. They were tasked with escorting and protecting the convoy as they made their way to a specific meeting place within the palace. But one knight had other priorities. Once at the meeting place, a dining hall deep within the walls of the palace and illuminated by candle light, the knight stood guard in a corner away from the light. The delegates stole concerned glances at the knight, only calmed down by the gentle reassurance from Prince Sebastian. Every time he spoke or was spoken to, the knight's eyes shot to him. His eyes blanketed the man, his demeanor, previously bruting and menacing, now became softer yet jealous as he watched the prince interact with other people. The knight's name was Belindo.
“Prince Sebastian.” A man said, leaning against the table. Sebastian looked up, his eyes searching the man's figure for any identifying features. He wore a large red fur cloak with obvious pieces of armor under the royal cloth. His eyes came across the man's face. He was met with a thick grey beard and a balding head hidden under a puffy hat. The man was the king of Felthorn. King Thibault Joffrey.
“Oh, King Thibault. It’s a pleasure seeing you here.” Sebastian responded with a lie. He despised the man.
“It’s a pleasure to finally meet you. Your father spoke much about you, young prince.” The man said with a gross smile.
“And I've heard plenty about you.” Sebastian responded with a hint of disdain.
“Say, I have an idea. I know you're well aware of our nations…How should I put this…” He paused for a few seconds.
“Fued. Yes, a feud.” He smiled and nodded.
“But I have an idea. My daughter, Justine, is the same age as you and is in desperate need of a fine husband. A union between our nations would be most beneficial.” He continued. Sebastian's face turned to a grimace.
“And…You’ve brought this up with my father, yes?” He asked, slowly trying to retain a professional demeanor.
“Not yet but I had to inquire with you sir first.” Thibault said with a sly smile. Sebastian reclined in his seat, his eyes trying to focus on anything other than the man. And his eyes met the knights. The knight had shifted out of the shadows by a few steps. His eyes pierced the man and focused softly onto the prince.
“You’ll have to take it up with my father…” He said nervously and attempted to turn to another delegate. Thibault then put his hand onto Sebastian's shoulder to turn him back.
The knight stepped forward, his massive frame cutting through the crowd of delegates. He stopped right behind him and grabbed the back of the man's cloak. Thibault yelped and whipped around.
“Good heavens! Unhand me you vile beast!” He shouted before turning to Sebastian.
“Is this thing yours?” He asked with a vileness in his voice. Sebastian turned to Belindo and smiled.
“Yes. He’s mine.” Sebastian said with a nod. Thibault scoffed and inched past Belindo.
“A villain it is! I’ll have some choice words with your father. Sebastian in turn scoffed and shook his head. He turned to Belindo, who had warranted a small, curious crowd.
“Thank you Bel.” He softly whispered. Belindo looked for a moment before drawing his attention away.
“Anything for you sir.” He said, his voice gruff and low but with a hint of something else hidden away behind his tough exterior. Perhaps it was desire, jealousy, or something else. Either way it didn’t matter as Sebastian pressed a soft and discrete kiss to Belindo’s hand. His face began to burn under the armor.
“Something wrong Bel?” Sebastian whispered, attempting to not draw attention to himself. He squeezed Bel’s armoured hand. He nodded and muttered a yes.
“Just a little longer Bel. We’ll be together soon enough. Just keep being good.” Sebastian said gently pressing his finger into Belindo palm, smiling after eliciting a small whimper from the man before he slowly walked back to the corner. Belindo fiddled with his armor, attempting to cool down. His face was a bright red and was hot. Hot enough to turn his own helmet red. His eyes could barely focus on anything else other than Sebastian. The crowd of delegates and guards seemed to be drowned out by Sebastian and his beauty. His pristine puffy white hair, his perfect tanned skin, the soft fur cloak he wears all the time. It was enough to make him swoon and be filled with all sorts of butterflies. He watched as Sebastian began to read off a trade deal that had been concocted during the meeting, he was surrounded by all sorts of people. The deal would help so many people and bring prosperity to many nations. Yet all he could think about was having Sebastian's hand in his and his lips on his skin. He saw Sebastian laugh, talk and conversate with the other princes and kings. They felt more of a threat to Sebastian but not in the traditional sense. Any one of them could fancy the prince and try to take him away. He couldn’t let that happen. He had to be his.
Sebastian’s eyes racked over the lines and lines of meaningless scribbles on the scroll he was given. His mind could barely focus on it. It didn’t matter as much as Belindo did. Stupid Belindo. He had bewitched him. He shifted in his seat and he felt a blush creep up his neck and swell in his cheeks. His eyes drifted towards the figure in the corner. A menacing, towering hunk of intricate metal and blue cloth. Some time ago the day of yuletide Sebastian had painted intricate and beautiful patterns of gold onto the armor of Belindo. He could remember perfectly how he practically melted at the sight and couldn’t stop professing his undying loyalty to Sebastian. He couldn’t help but smile. He swiftly focused back on the paper.
“-And the nation of Florivon will have express access through the nation of Aethelgard to trade with other nations, mainly being the Alarian Coast and their ports.” He continued his speech for sometime, but his mind kept drifting back to Belindo, which caused him to occasionally stumble over his words. All he wanted was for the meeting to be over. He swiftly set the treaty down and watched as it was passed around from delegate to delegate to be signed. He nervously attempted to hide his growing blush from the others, chalking it up to the growing heat in the room. His eyes rack over the crowd all huddled around the table. He absentmindedly nods along to a few other princes' conversations that apparently included him but his eyes were drawn to that knight in the corner. He was shifting and rubbing his fingers together, clearly impatient. And soon the candle began to die out, and the delegates slowly began to shuffle out of the room and to their chambers. Ready to fall asleep and continue the next day. Yet Sebastian sat in his seat. Watching as everyone began to leave the room. Until it was just one person. The knight Belindo.
He shuffled out of his seat and straight to the knight. He took his hand and in a split second pressed his lips to the knight’s knuckles. The Knight let out a soft needy whimper, causing Sebastian to shiver.
“I’m sorry that it took so long.” He said, his lips moving against Belindo’s glove.
“J-Just don't abandon me. I want t-to keep you.” He muttered through his helmet.
“I’m so sorry, love.” He said, pressing a dozen kisses to his hand as he slowly slid off the glove. He let out another soft groan as Sebastian lips pressed to his skin.
“You know how much I love you right? So much.” He said, pressing his body against Belindo’s armor. Belindo weakly nodded, clearly incredibly flustered.
“Well I love you more than you’ll ever know.” He smiled gently, pressing a kiss to his breast place. He could have swore he could have felt his beating heartbeat. Belindo shuddered and moaned softly.
“S-Seb.” He said, wrapping his arms around his waist and pulling him closer.
“Yes Bel?” He asked, his eyes low and soft as he watched as Belindo leaned down.
“I love you so much…” He muttered right before pulling Sebastian up and burying his face into the crook of his neck. Sebastian smiled and chuckled. He wrapped his arms around his torso and pressed a kiss to his metal cheek.
“Bel. Could you stand straight for me dear?” He asked, a sly grin forming on his face. Belindo nervously nodded and reluctantly pulled away. Sebastian, whilst playfully kicking his feet up, pried at Belindo’s cloak that hung around his neck. Once pulled away, revealing a cloth coif around his neck he slowly lifted it up just enough to reveal his neck. It was practically red.
“S-Seb?” He asked nervously despite fully knowing his intent. Sebastian chuckled and pressed a kiss to his neck causing a soft whimper.
“Mine…” Sebastian whispered against his skin.
“All mine. My Knight. Devoted to just me.” he muttered as he kissed his neck again and again.
“Take me to my room…Please darling.” He said between kisses. Belindo nodded nervously and hoisted him up further.
“Careful, don't drop me.” He said, clinging to Belindo.
Belindo began to walk toward the door, doing his best to not drop the prince. His fingers dug into Sebastian’s waist, eliciting a slight moan. Belindo then leaned out the doorway, his eyes scanning down either side of the hallway. The hallways were empty signaling for Belindo to slowly prance out into it, Prince in hand. The hallway was filled with the sound of Belindo’s armor clinking and Sebastian whispered into Belindo’s ear. Finally after some time, they had reached Sebastian’s bed chambers. Belindo, impatient, kicked open the door in a panic and rushed into the room. He set down Sebastian onto his bed and slowly closed the door.
“Bel, dear I'm over here~” Sebastian said, shifting in bed. Belindo turned and watched as bits of Sebastian’s ceremonial armor fell to the bed sheets. Belindo felt his face burn once more, and even hotter. Sebastian reached out his hand, beckoning to Belindo.
“Join me love.” He said, a soft smile forming on his face. Belindo shuffled toward Sebastian, his jealousy and need for Sebastian growing with every step. He started to remove his gloves, then armor, letting the metal clatter to the floor. Sebastian's smile grew, yet his eyes became heavier with sleep.
“Dear. Oh how I love you.” Belindo muttered as he shed the final piece of his armor. His helmet. His face was wrapped in dozens of bandages, yet his beautiful eyes were on display. Sebastian took Belindo’s hand, pulling him to bed as most of his accessories were set onto the floor nearby. Belindo desperately climbed into bed to embrace his lover. His strong arms pulled the smaller prince into a tight hug. The prince buried his face into Belindo’s neck. He gently pressed tiny and small kisses to the rough skin. Sebastian whispered sweet words into the skin, his lips moved softly against the knight’s skin. Belindo pressed himself against Sebastian more and more, his lips pressed into Sebastian's soft fluffy hair. He whispered his own words of devotion and loyalty. Restating his oaths of fealty to the prince.
“From the blue seas past Alarian to the mountain range of Aterna I will protect you with my life. I’d toss myself onto a pile of blades, into great pits of fire in the underworld and through the great tundra bare if it means protecting you from harm. I’d give my life and very being just to protect you from any and everything. Not even the gods themselves will lay a finger on you…” He muttered into Sebastian’s hair, sending a small shiver down his spine. Belindo’s warm fingers dug into Sebastian as he felt his heart beat against his stomach.
“Seb…” He muttered into his hair. He shifted to look down at his face. Only to catch the peaceful and calm face of a sleeping Sebastian. Belindo’s heart skipped at the sight. He could only smile at how peaceful he looked. Belindo however, had duties elsewhere. He slowly moved Sebastian off of him and laid him in bed. He watched the sleeping Sebastian breath softly. His chest moving up and down underneath the blankets. And Belindo slowly left the room.
