Oh, I Know

Summary:

Waru gets sick and Kuromaku knows just how to help him feel better.

Notes:

This idea randomly popped into my head and it's been a while since I wrote a fic so I figured "eh, why not?"

NOTE: Prior to March 23rd, 2026, this was a oneshot.

Chapter Text

Romeo sat curled up on the couch, reading a magazine article about how to find good clothing at thrift stores. Nearby, Kuromaku was engrossed in a crossword puzzle and Felix was watching a cartoon on TV.

"It seems awfully quiet around the house today," Romeo noted. Not that he minded the lack of chaos - it was much better than having your hair burned off or being locked on the balcony in the middle of winter, after all - but it wasn't something he was used to.

"It's probably because Waru's sick," Felix explained. "He's down with the flu, and Fedya is letting him borrow his bed to sleep in until he feels better."

"Aww, poor thing," Romeo said sympathetically. The idea of the normally energetic and boisterous Waru lying in bed waiting for the sickness to pass elicited pity from him, even if Waru was generally rather annoying. "Is there anything we can do to make him feel better?"

"I have an idea," Kuromaku piped up. "Why don't you go sing him a lullaby to help him relax? I'm sure he'll find it soothing."

"I could sing him a lullaby! That's a wonderful idea! I'm glad I thought of it!" Romeo said, prancing towards the bedroom as Kuromaku narrowed his eyes in annoyance. Felix glanced hesitantly at Kuromaku.

"Uhh, Kuro... look, I love Romeo and all... but I don't think his singing voice would be very comforting to a sick person," he confessed.

"Oh, I know," Kuromaku grinned, putting in a pair of earplugs and offering some to Felix before the cacophony started.
