Air Groove awoke the sky still dark and the sound of rain pattering outside could be heard. She felt Rudolf behind her, the brandy-colored stallion cuddling her, one of her arms resting on Groove’s belly. Letting out a sigh, Groove tried to go back to sleep. Of course, the foal in belly decided it was moving around time and was currently kicking, making it next to impossible for her to go back to sleep. At least the foal was due soon, then hopeful Groove would be able to get some sleep. It had been a hard couple of months for the mare, but at least she had Rudolf who has supported her throughout the pregnancy. Sure, Rudolf wasn’t the Foal’s Biological father, that honor goes to a deadbeat stallion who caused Groove nothing but heartbreak. Bitterness filled the mare whenever thinking about what that stallion had said and done to her. Rudolf was honestly a much better partner in all regards, she was kind, caring and was very attentive to Groove’s needs. The mare was currently living with Rudolf who lived in a 5-bedroom house that was close to the academy. Shortly after the couple got together the bay-colored stallion had invited the mare to move in, since she had more space than Groove’s parent's house. One of the bedrooms had already been turned into a nursery, for Groove unborn foal. Groove felt Rudolf stir slightly, nuzzling into her neck. The mare couldn't help thinking how lucky she was that her foal would have a father in Rudolf even if Stallion didn't share a drop of blood with the child. The stallion already acted like an expecting father, so much that every news outlet in Japan thought she was. Groove remembered when she and Rudolf got caught by some photographers after the couple was spotted going to one of the mare's doctor appointments. Every newspaper and News site had basically blasted that the emperor and empress were having a foal afterwards. After that Several of the Tracen academy students had decided to start, giving baby items and congratulating the couple. The director of the academy had straight up sent them a stroller, a crib and a surprising amount of clothes for the child, all cat themed. The couple had of course accepted all the gifts and thanked the director. Another kick from the foal caused Groove to break her train of thought. The foal was really active tonight, thought the mare to herself. Letting out a sigh the mare curled closer to Rudolf hoping the stallion’s warmth could help her get back to sleep. A few minutes later a slight pain racked through Groove’s body causing the mare to gasp in pain. Groove tried to ignore the pain, hoping it was just her imagination. It happened again this time slightly worse, causing the mare to let out a yelp. Rudolf jolted awake the stallion’s fluffy ears picking up the mare’s pain. Seeing that the mare was in pain Rudolf grabbed one of the mare’s hands, squeezing it reassuringly, and using her other arm to grab her phone. Putting the phone up to her ear, the stallion called 911 and explained what was happening. Rudolf did own a car but, it was currently in the shop getting maintenance because the radiator had gone out in it. After calling 911 the stallion put down her phone and turned her attention to Groove trying her best to comfort the mare until the ambulance arrived. The sound of an ambulance arriving could be heard around 5 minutes later. Rudolf got up and rushed to the front door letting in the paramedics, who quickly loaded Groove into the ambulance. Rudolf followed into the ambulance, continuing to provide comfort and support to Groove as the labor became more intense. The mare had gripped onto the stallion’s hand squeezing it so tightly, that it looked like she might shatter the bones in it. The vehicle blared throughout the city rain pattering on it as it zoomed towards the hospital. Groove’s gasps had devolved into full on screams, as the ambulance arrived at the hospital. Rudolf followed to provide what support she could. The doctor’s told the Brandy colored stallion to wait in the lobby, as they assisted the mare give birth. Rudolf once the mare was taken away called Groove’s parents to let them know that she was in labor and at the hospital. The stallion could only wait, as the mare she loved brought a new life into this world.
It was several hours later, when the doctors returned. Telling Rudolf that Groove had given birth to a healthy young colt and that Groove was fine, just tired. Of course, Groove's parents were also at the hospital arriving shortly after Rudolf called them. The older couple had smiles on their faces at the news of their first Grandchild. Rudolf and the older couple followed the doctor to where Air Groove was at. It took a few minutes, the doctor leading them to a room opening the door. Inside the Room was Groove the mare looked tired and slightly disheveled, she held in her arms a foal wrapped in a dark green blanket. Rudolf approached slowly, warmth in her magenta eyes as she looked at the sight in front of her. Groove noticing the Stallion apprehension, she nodded reassuringly at Rudolf. The stallion walked up to the side of the bed that the mare was laying in. Groove carefully handed the foal to Rudolf, the stallion holding the colt close warmth in her gaze. The colt had dark brown hair like her mother. There was a streak of white that went throughout the colt’s hair.
“What’s her name? Asked Rudolf down at the colt in her arms
“Rulership, because she is going to be raised by the Emperor and Empress” said Groove happiness in her icy blue eyes, looking at Rudolf
“That sounds good welcome to the world Little Ruler” said Rudolf tears in her voice as she spoke
The emperor made a silent promise to herself she would be the best father, to this innocent little life in her arms. The empress felt pride as the stallion she loved held, the colt in her arms.
A days later in an apartment building, a stallion was staring at a newspaper. The front of which had a photo of the empress and empress. Of course, the photo included the young colt known as Rulership. The unknown stallion let out a growl, ripping up the newspaper. Pulling out a folder the stallion let out a grin, grabbing her phone the stallion put it up to ear.
“Sup Shadow, I need to call in that favor. The stupid bitch had the kid, and I need to get that colt, Afterall it has my blood. I also got some contacts who might be able to put the pressure on that bastard Rudolf. I need to marry that bitch or my father won’t give me any more money. I need the money and of course if I bring the colt then I might be able to become heir to the company. "Said the stallion glaring at a Picture of Symboli Rudolf, holding it up and lighting it on fire.
