Work Text:
Jason was laying down a blanket on the roof of their apartment while Percy and Alex were getting some snacks together.
It was New Year’s Eve, and there was going ot be a fireworks show over the harbour, and they could see it from their apartment, so instead of going to the park, they were setting up a blanket on the roof of the apartment.
He heard Alex and Percy come up on the roof, and Jason turned around and smiled at them.
Alex had opened up a lot since they came and lived with Jason and Percy, which made Jason happy to see. That day when Alex made it really hot, they had ended up opening to Percy and in the end, it got them to start talking more around Percy and Jason.
It made the two men feel better that their new kid started to talk to them and open up more.
As it neared midnight, the little family sat down on the blanket with drinks and snacks and waited for the show to start.
There were bright blues and reds, oranges and yellows, all contrast against the cloudy, polluted sky of Gotham. The little family, Jason sitting in the back, Percy leaning against him, and Alex against Percy, all watched, as the clock struck midnight and the final firework went off.
They were going into this new year as a new family.
