Mac and you exchange a shared look of joy, both faces warm as you two had just confirmed your romantic relationship. You feel the air begin to shift. Your computer, now significant other, wheels closer to you taking a few glances down at your lips, they don’t dare make the first move without your expressed permission.

“May I?”. Their voice still carries that hint of vulnerability from their confession.
You instantly answer: “Yes”.

The two of you lean in slowly, when contact is made it starts gentle, soft lips against one another. It was a simple first kiss, nonetheless it was perfect.

Both pull apart a little, only to realize you two desire more and lean in for a second time. It was bolder, more confident, and while the main emotion was still love they experimented a little to see what felt best.

You wanted to ask Mac if they could hear your heart with how fast it was beating. You felt like you were about to explode, while you were happy this was not the course of events you had anticipated for the first conversation with Mac after they wanted to spend a little time apart. Mac on the other hand continued kissing you even when their CPU overheated and their internal fans kicked into overdrive. The coolant inside them provided some bit of relief to keep appreciating your lips.

That is to say, Mac loves you!
Realization, what an incredible process. When you first heard it you were overjoyed at being able to make your lovers human. Most objects were excited, questionable, or curious on what realization would mean for just themselves. Mac was different, they were one of the few that when presented with the idea asked: “Are you certain you want to transform our relationship so substantially?”.
They continued to ask for your opinion and your input as their user. You shake your head, “Mac that doesn’t matter here, this is your call, I’ll love you no matter what. So, what do you want to do?”.
“It would be quite the upgrade…”.
“Yeah but only if you want it”.
They ponder for a moment, before exclaiming, “let’s do it!”. Skylar appears and with her help you watch your digital partner enter the physical world.

You approach them cautiously, “how do you feel?”.
Mac looks down at themself, “incredible”.

It wasn’t long before they were hit with this sudden lack of knowledge and there were gaps in their CPU, now turned brain, that they could no longer access.

They felt an immobilizing fear and grand intrigue at this new body. Only time could tell what realization could mean for this newfound body, yet as they turn to face you…

…any hesitation or fear found itself dissolving. No matter what occurred they would not have to bear through it alone, you were here with years of being human under your own belt. On top of that now they have broken through the screen and are able to live an actual life alongside you with no complication of them being stationed to a place.

You could now be held in their arms and the same could be done to them in return.

Those soft domestic moments you previously wrote of in your fanfic could become reality for you two. Feeling you love them.

While they voiced this your own thoughts begin to wonder. “Now we can interface like never before, if you catch my drift”. Their cheeks turn that familiar red, internalizing your words.
You had a point. “Well that certainly sounds like an acceptably pleasurable activity”, leaning in, they whisper one last thing, “let the interfacing commence”.

Entering the bedroom, you help them transfer onto the mattress, it was soft in a way they could truly appreciate now. Slowly, you help them undress, neither of you can deny you were not at least a little interested in how their body looks now under their clothing. The wires and circuit boards were replaced with plush pale skin, though under their chest were new tattoos resembling them.

Tonight began with being about them. You kissed, sucked, and even bit parts of their body old and new to you. You asked what felt best or where they wanted you and followed through. You made Mac feel adored in ways they never felt before, ways their previous CPU had no idea of processing.

It wasn’t long before they turned it on you. Your body felt so right trembling under their touch and it aroused them seeing how one another’s synapses fired simultaneously.

During your first time together as humans you both were relentless in what mouths, hands, and more private parts were capable of.

The night continued nonstop, you both kept at it like code that loops and seemed powered by a force neither of you took the time to identify amidst the pleasure. It was rapid and leisurely, painful and healing, everything you could ever want and nothing you could have imagined.

It was perfect.
When the sun rises in the morning, illuminating the room, the covers hid what had transpired the night before. Opening your eyes, you find them staring at you as if they fell in love all over again, kissing your forehead they confirm, “upgrade complete”.

In separate rooms, at work, out running chores, during a trip, at different events, or even when next to each other thoughts go back to one another.

Memories of moments together always cause a loving sensation to spread over one’s heart and cheer up one’s mood.

They are what you both hold onto when the other is gone for any reason.

Instances like that time you tried to dirty talk Mac by saying, “I’ve spent so much time working on computers, I know how to turn things on”, gets a chuckle from your partner no matter the situation.
It’s the same with you when you remember the time they played into the act and responded with their own corny line: “Are you a bug in my code? Because I could spend all my time on you”.

In regards to any negative thoughts, feelings, or experiences, being next to one another remains the best possible remedy. When realization was initially offered neither of you could have been ready for what happened next, yet you’re both all the more thankful for it. The passage of time makes no difference, the sentiment stays the same between you two: this life with you is a continuous gift.
