His eyes are dull and tired as he stares at his ex-wife, who grabs his hand, which still holds the ring he wears as she pleds for him to listen.
"Luci,baby,honey! Please. I love you! I'm sorry! You know i wouldn't hurt you, right?"she cries out,her hand tightens on his his while globs of tears run down her face.
"You.." he looks dejected,hesitant before speaking again." You don't get to tell me that you love me now." He's heartbroken. After all these years that she could have come back, she decided to come when he was at his highest and tried to fuck things up. Tried to put lies in his heads,tried to ruin his and his daughter's relationship again... Tried to ruin his new relationship with Alastor... Lilith words blur and get lost in thought as Lucifer stares at the hand Lilith holds.
"Not after everything..I just can't.."he's despondent,he gently tuggs his hand back,trying to break free for her grasp.
"Lucifer, please! What would Charlie think! It will destroy her!"
Lucifer frowns forcefully, taking his hand back,staring at her with dismay. "Leave her out of this. You can hit me. You can beat me. You can manipulate me for all I care, but you leave MY daughter out of this. MY daughter who i cared for many years while she was growing up without her fucking mother! Do you know how heartbreaking it is to tell a fucking kid going into her teens that her mother may or may not come back!? My same god damn daughter who eneded up hating and blaming me for your absence!" He grits his teeth,tears also falling down his eyes while trying not to break down. He moves away as Lilith tries reaching out to him again. "Stop!" His voice cracks," I can't.. My heart..it can't take this.. " he slowly takes off his ring as the pleads from the woman don't stop.
The teary-eyed male shakily hands her his ring,"Here..." In almost a whisper,scared to speak any loudly because he might sob uncontrollably.
"Lu,please I.."
He then forces her to take it,immediately backing away with his wings as they lifted him off the ground.
"...please..." he closes his ruby eyes while bitting his lip so hard it drew golden blood. He opens them,"Stay out of our lives.... please..."
He watches Lilith crying eyes widen in shock and disbelief as she cries into her hand,realizing how bad she fucked up.
He can't.
He can't bear to see her,he turns around, ignoring her sobs as he could before flying off back to the hotel. He quietly enters the busy hotel,everyone talking and his daughter talking to her girlfriend about something,not knowing what went down. He sneaks by without being detected. At least, that's what he thinks,not realizing that his new lover was observing him. He knows he probably looks like a mess,his makeup is probably ruined, and his eyes are probably more dead than usual. He wipes his eyes with his hand as he enters his room, then closes the door. He feels his legs gave in,as he lets his body fall and hit the ground as he sobs loudly. His hands hugging his body tightly,"fuck.." he wails,feeling whatever progress he was making was going back a hundred steps now.
His tears hit the floor along with snot threatening from his nose as he sniffs "I did the right thing?...fuck.. what am i doing.."his mind wasn't in the right place,not hearing a knock at his door . He closes his eyes as the tears don't stop falling from him.
He nearly jumps,feeling hands gently wrapped around his waist tightly as a head rested on his shoulder. His eyes are open,they were blurry with tears as everything blended in. He wipe his eyes as best as he could,finally seeing the red sleeves of Alastor's coat .
"Bambi?.." he balwed out,his voice hoarse and dry.
"Mmhh. I'm here, my doe." Alastor whispers.
The blonde breaks down even more as Alastor helps him up."I'm sorry.. I'm so sorry.. I should of listened to you!"
Al hushes the blonde,gently cooes at him,wiping his tears and gently kissing some away. "It's alright, darling. A king has no reason to apologize. "
He holds Lucifer tightly into his arms till the shorter male calms down,gently swaying them back and forth as he slowly guides them to the bed.Cuddling and whispering gentle nothingness into the ears of the blonde as he rubs his back. Lucifer tiredly stared at Alastor's chest,watching it gently rise then fall as his eyes were sore from crying. He slightly looks up,locking eyes with the other who smiles at him. He looks away for a second before looking back at Al.
"There's my gorgeous wife. " Alastor moving the hand that was on Lucifer's back onto his face,caressing the wet tear stained cheek.
The blonde chuckles dryly,moving his hand onto the one that was on his face. Leaning more into his warm touch,"Heh, sorry... i probably look terrible.."
Alastor fought back a witty comment, then gently kissed him. "Don't be darling. It's fine."
Gathering his thoughts, "I...officially..." Lucifer takes a deep breath",Officially broken up with Lilith.. I handed our- my wedding ring to her." His eyes start to tear up again,now moving closer to hide his face into the other's chest.
Alastor held his lover in silence as he cried into his chest now. "You did what was best for you, my love." Kissing the crown of Lucifer's head.
Once more, Lucifer lifts his head to look at Alastor,"Promise....." he tries to stop the tears again." Sorry.."
Alastor leans closer to his lover's face,kissing him all over,hearing a mixture of laughter and crying.
"Stop apologizing."
"Sorr-" Lucifer gets cut off with another kiss then another. Lucifer reaches for Alastor's hand,holding it tight as his lover does the same.
They stared at each other with sincerity.
"Promise you won't leave me, please?..."
"I promise. You have my loyalty."He smiles warmly at the other.
"...i love you...sorry... gonna cry.."
"Take as much time as you need,even if it's means you'll get my shirt all gross.. I still won't leave your side."
