It was a hot summer day, with everyone having tons of fun!
Nooby was surfing with Guest, who got taken by some waves, Lav was yelling at them to get back to shore, Bacon and Blue were arguing over who could throw the ball first in Volleyball, and Acorn..?
Well, Acorn would normally join any of them in one of these activities, but she had seemed very off today. Even Nooby noticed. Once they had gotten on the beach, Acorn claimed she had to do something, and ran off to somewhere else on the beach. Everyone assumed she was doing something important, but Lav, knowing her girlfriend, soon followed her.
Lav was met with Acorn, sand on her thighs, making a small sandcastle. Well, she was trying at least. The sand wouldn't stick, and that was getting her angry.
Lav watched her for a bit, before sitting down next to her. "Y'know, you need to use sand with water to make it stick."
Acorn ignored her, getting more frustrated, until Lav picked her up and put Acorn face to face with Lav.
"You need to wet the sand with water so it will stick, I can help a little if needed."
Acorn was surprised that she wasn't all excited and happy like she normally was, but Lav knew that, she just wanted to be gentle with her.
Lav placed Acorn down, grabbing some wet sand and making a little hill. "Like... this." When Lav looked back, Acorn had a handful of wet sand in her mouth. She giggled lightly, before grabbing some water.
"Now now, we don't eat the sand. That's yucky." Acorn spit out the sand and drank the water that Lav gave her, before Lav grabbed her bag and started searching through it.
"Anxiety pills? No... Tissues? Still no... AHAH!" Lav grabbed a red pacifier and stuck it in Acorn's mouth.
"Now, shall we get to building?" Acorn nodded, and started to build a little castle.
It was square-ish, using her finger to make windows. Once she finished the exterior, she started to dig out the interior, when a little crab approached her.
Acorn tried to push it away, mumbling beneath her pacifier "Mnnoo.. Not weady yet.."
Obviously, the crab didn't listen, because it's a crab, and got closer to the castle. Before Lav could stop her, Acorn grabbed the crab, and it pinched her. The crab ran off into a little hole, leaving Acorn with a red spot on her finger. Since Acorn was very little, she started to sniffle and cry, her pacifier falling out of her mouth. Lav quickly put the pacifier back in her mouth, putting her on her lap and rocking her gently.
"Shh.. It's okay baby.. You'll be okay.. Mama's here.." Lav gently kissed her forehead, making sure her baby could calm down.
Nooby and Guest walked toward their direction, wanting to see what all of the commotion was about.
"what's going on? is acorn ok?"
Lav smiled gently, as Acorn's tears subsided. "She got pinched by a crab."
Guest frowned, gently touching the place where she got pinched, making her wince. He grabbed his bag, grabbing a little bandage and putting it on her finger.
Acorn stopped frowning, smiling a little even, as she reached for Guest, babbling a little.
Nooby smiled. "awww! she likes you !!"
Guest nodded, smiling.
Acorn soon went back to building her sandcastle, getting a bit of help from the others. Bacon and Blue were still arguing, but eventually stopped to watch the little one build a sandcastle.
After about an hour, it was getting pretty dark out, so Lav picked up Acorn and brought her to their car.
"We'll have to leave the sandcastle, honey..."
Acorn whimpered, but waved at the sandcastle, before sitting in the backseat next to her two big bros, Nooby and Bacon.
As they drove home, Nooby tried to entertain the kid, but she had fallen asleep. She had a pretty awesome day, and was planning to have even more fun resting.
