Even if it isn't celebrated by everyone, New years is a holiday in hell as well.
And since Charlie wants everyone to bond, she always forces her hotel's inhabitants to have fun that day.
Since she, doesn't have a soul and never actually experienced it, but of course, the amazing hostess she is, she did research. Prepared the fireworks, got some traditional dishes ready and decorated the place with golden accents, since its harder to tell the time and date in hell than on earth, no balloon numbers were placed.
Charlie then waited for everyone to wake up. Nifty, the early bird she is, helped her set things up while alastor, who just doesn't sleep for some reason, stared creepily at them until they finished. Finally saying something when they're done.
"Well dear, this is quite an arrangement you've got here" he acknowledged in his usual raspy radio voice
"it would've been better if you helped" charlie murmured to herself
"What was that?" he was clearly hiding his irritation
"Nothing!" she laughed awkwardly.
Alastor responds with one of his weird deer noises, which would've been cute if he couldn't just kill them with a snap of his fingers.
Vaggie walked down the stairs to the living room, trying to brush of her grogginess.
"Good morn- what did you do now babe" the fallen angel said, not even surprised anymore.
"... Happy new years?" she cheered, spreading her arms awkwardly, showcasing the decorations.
Vaggie just goes and hugs the adorable person she knows and loves
"Whatever you say cutie" she whispers in her lover's ear. Charlie blushes slightly.

Over in husks room, there's a so well known spider on his bed. Angel passed out at the bar again after another long day with Val, and when the cat tried to bring him to his room, it was locked.
Angel started deliberately closing his door when he knew it was gonna be a long day, just to get more cuddles from husk.
Even if none of them would say it they know this isn't just platonic, especially after the bar kiss. They didn't have the energy or the courage to talk about it yet but husk wanted to bring it up at the new years party Charlie informed him about the other day when he was cleaning the bar.
"Wake up legs, Nug is hungry and I may let you sleep in my bed but I'm not feeding your pet" the cat said while putting on his overlord suit. It has the fancy vibe to it and had gold accents, making it the perfect outfit for a new years party.
Angel yawned and stood up.
"Whaaaat, didn't like my cuddles?" he jokes. Husk responds with a chuckle, but not the sarcastic one he usually had, this one felt genuine.
That puts a smile on the spider's face
"get dressed in something nice, we have a new years party to go to." the cat was smiling now as well, butterflies buzzing around his stomach.
The tension was clear, and angel didn't hezitate.

He then walked out with a satisfied look on his face.
Husk was about to start jumping around like a teenager having his first kiss, but since mister 'nonchalant' needs to keep his reputation up, he didn't. Tho he didn't deny he enjoyed it.
Angel was shocked he even had the courage to do that. He definitely wanted to get a new years kiss from him, and mabye a potential relationship?
So as his outfit, he picked something comfortable, knowing that husk would care more about that than if he actually looked fancy.
He got a nice sweater and some black jeans, using a belt and a necklace as the golden accents. He then went out to the living room to greet the others.
When husk noticed him, he froze, his pupils dilating, tho quickly recovering he went to greet him.
He holds out a hand
"Hey Angie, love the outfit" he spoke, a slight blush visible on his furry cheeks.
Angel blushes too at the compliment, he took his hand and walked to the middle of the room where they began socializing with everyone, even ocupate they still managed to steal glances at each other.
"Ah those love birds" said Charlie, resting her chin against her hand.
"You really are their #1 shipper aren't you" said vaggie, kissing her girlfriend's cheek.
"I'll go get drinks, what do you want baby?" she smiles sweetly.
"Wine please" responded Charlie,distracted, still looking for her couple.
Vaggie chuckles
"don't forget about me" she said sarcastically while walking to the bar.
There, husk was still serving drinks. People really can't get a glass themselves can't they? He just wanted to stay with angel for the night.
"Hey husk, two glasses of wine and I can take over the bar for a bit" vaggie sits down on one of the chairs.
"I'll take you on that offer in a few minutes, I gotta go in town for a bit" said husk, fixing his tie before grabbing a dark red bottle off the shelf.
"Getting a gift for a certain someone?" she asked, a sly grin forming on her face.
Husks tries to hide his blush by turning around to get the glasses, tho he never responds.
He grabs a bottle opener and opened the bottle.

The cat then placed the glasses on the counter, pouring the wine smoothly.
"Here you go" husk pushes the glasses in front of her.
"Give it to your girlfriend then come to take over the bar, I'll be waiting." he turns around to pour the drinks for Cherri, since she quietly slipped in in the middle of their conversation.
Vaggie gives the wine to Charlie, who is now yapping to niffty how husk should be free to be with angel, not serve drinks.
"Like why would he still do that! It's clear he likes him!" she says, niffty listening intently.
"Got another person on it babe?" Charlie gets a wine glass shoved into her hand.
"Lucky for you, i talked with husk and I'll take over the bar until he gets something for Angie."
The girls immediately shift their attention to her.
"Do you think husk will ask him to get together tonight?" Charlie jumps up from the couch, exited.
"If he does do that, you won't interfere will you" vaggie asks, genuinely worried for the soon to be couple
Tho her girlfriend doesn't respond, instead she looks down with an embarrased grin on her face.
"BABE DONT YOU DARE"
"But what if it doesn't work out" she whines.
"babe if you interfere, I will kill you"
Vaggie says sarcastically
"Fineeee, but I am allowed to watch right" Charlie puts on her best puppy eyes.
And somehow it works. Vaggie rolls her eyes and walks back to the bar to finish her end of the deal.
Behind the bar was husk, making Angel a drink, a blush clear on his face, when she notices them she sees an opportunity and goes up to them.
"hey husky, can take over now, I can also finish angel's drink if you need it."
"thanks, sorry Angie I'll come back in a sec" he then grabs his wallet from behind a beer bottle and goes out, leaving vaggie and angel together.
"Sooo, how are you?" she grabs the unfinished cocktail and grabs a few other ingredients.
"I'm good, but I um...have a wierd question"
"Hm?" vaggie pushes the glass towards him, then resting her chin in her hands.
"Do you think-" angel's cheeks flush
"n-nevermind" he looks away awkwardly
"Oh come on! Tell me the beef"
"I think I like husk" he blurts out, blushing wildly , burying his head in his hands.
All the questions in vaggie's head were answered, if angel was not planning anything, husk would definitely try to make it official that night, and lucky for them it was already 10 pm, only 2 hours left. Time goes by quickly when everyone is playing board games and drinking.
"I want to talk about a kiss we shared at a bar a few days ago and the kiss we shared this morning" he pauses, takes a deep breath and continues " mabye even make it official, the only problem is that I'm not sure if he likes me back, I mean he didn't complain about the kisses so I'm not actually sure. That's what I wanted to ask. Do you know anything?"
Vaggie didn't know what to say. She didn't want to tell angel in advance since she wanted husk to say it first but she also felt bad to lie. For the sake of their relationship she dogged the bullet that husk would shoot at her head if she said anything and tried to at least not to blatantly state it.
"Not sure, but if he didn't complain he may have feelings for you."
"Your gay and in a relationship, you really can't tell?"
"Sorry babe, my powers only work for lesbians" she jokes
Angel rolls his eyes playfully, they continue talking for a while.
Meanwhile husk was out and moving between shops, finally stopping on a flower shop. There weren't many sinners there and most flowers had human parts in them, one was named eye lily and had a very beautiful shade of orange lilies with different colored eyes sprouting from the middle of them.
Husk knows angel can be quite uncomfortable with the hellish objects in this place, like restaurants where you eat human remains, or gift boxes with spiders inside of them, so he instead settles for a simple bouquet of roses, even if they were a lot more expensive.
The shop next door also sold those little chocolates angel mentioned liking at one point, so he gets some of those too, after all he deserves his all doesn't he?
It took him a while to go back and forward, the shops being quite far from the hotel that was built painfully far from the city, finnaly getting back half an hour before new years.
Angel was deep enough into a debate about blob fish with vaggie to not notice husk entering the building.
A few minutes pass and everyone gathered to go out to wait for the fireworks.

Fireworks shoot up, forming colorfull circles in the sky, one of them even spelling 'Happy new years'. Everyone was mesmerized.
After the fireworks ended, most people left and angel started walking away as well,when he was stopped by someone shouting his name behind him.
"Angel!"
He turns slightly to looks who's calling him. When he sees that it was husk he blushes. Was this the moment he was going to ask him out? Or was he just overthinking it?
The spider slowly walks to husk, you could tell how shy he was just by his body language.
"Hey..." says husk with a sweet smile.
He seems very composed for someone that was about to ask his crush out.
Angel smiles back, husk takes that as a sign,so he starts speaking.
"So I've been thinking and... I realised I have feelings for you angel."
The spider's eyes widen, and he became as red as a tomato.
Husk got on one knee, holding the bouquet in his hand and the chocolates behind his back, wanting it to be a surprise.
" W-would you like to be my boyfriend?" he blushes, his composed demeanor cracking.
Angel stays silent for a hot minute, too shocked to speak, then started crying happy tears.
"Yes, of course I will" he goes out to hug him, and husk hugs back.
For the first time, he finally has the courage to..
Smooch
That wasn't enough for angel tho, when the kiss ends, he pulls him into another passionate kiss.
"Now that's how you kiss" says angel, his happiness radiating off of him.
Husks chuckles softly in response.
"whatever you say legs, or should I say babe?" says the cat trying to put his quite terrible flirting skills to use. But somehow it works and it makes angel blush.
"L-let's get back in" he shivers "I'm cold"
He says, still flustered.
Husk nods, and grabs angel's hand.
The newly formed couple slowly walked back in the hotel,hand in hand. The rest of the night going by like usual, of course with the congratulations from vaggie and Charlie, who secretly recorded the whole thing.
Everyone went to bed really late. Niffty went to sleep first, at 4 am, then Charlie at 5, Baxter didn't participate, cherri at sunrise, vaggie as well and alastor never sleeps.
When the love birds went up the stairs to the bedrooms and were about to go to their rooms, angel asks one last question for the night.
"Husk, can I sleep with you tonight?"
"Sure Angie, whatever you want. It's not like you haven't slept in my room for the past like 3 days." he says playfully.
Angel pouts, and crosses his arms, but you can tell it was a joke.
"Get changed and come for cuddles you little koala" says husk with a smile.
And so they do. They fell asleep in each other's arms.
Everyone had their fun that day, but you can certainly tell who liked it the most. I guess you can call this a successful new years.
