Work Text:

It was the middle of the right when Sanemi was awoken by the sounds of his brother crying. Genya had gone to bed big, so something must have happened.

On his way to Genya’s room, Sanemi flicked on the hall light, giving him some light so he could see. He opened the door to his brother’s room, the light from the hall flooding in. He could see his brother sitting up in bed, the blankets a mess.

“You okay Gen?” Sanemi asked, still half asleep.

Genya shook his head.

“Have a bad dream?”

Genya nodded.

Sanemi went to Genya and sat by his brother on the bed. He noticed a wet spot on the bed and was able to piece together that Genya had wet the bed.

Sanemi wasn’t sure if the accident had occurred before Genya slipped into little space or after. Wetting the bed was pretty common for Genya if he went to sleep little, but Genya had never wet the bed when big.

Sanemi pulled his brother into a hug, “it’s okay, Nemi’s got you,” he cooed trying to comfort Genya.

Genya clung on to Sanemi still crying.

Sanemi continued trying to calm down his brother so he could get Genya calm enough that he could at least get his brother changed into dry clothes.

After roughly five minutes of crying and hugging, Genya’s sobs finally began to stop.

“Lets get you cleaned up and changed,” Sanemi said, grabbing Genya and getting him out of bed.

Genya sniffled, pressing his face into the crook of his brother's neck, a habit that Sanemi was quickly picking up on.

Sanemi ran his fingers through his brother’s hair, as he took him to the bathroom. It was far too late for Sanemi to give Genya a bath so instead he opted to just wipe Genya down with a washcloth.

As Sanemi started to remove Genya’s wet clothes, Genya looked like he was about to start crying again.

“No tears,” Sanemi told his brother softly.

Genya’s pants and boxers had suffered the most, but even Genya’s shirt was wet from the accident. Sanemi was sure the bed hadn’t fared any better. He sighed inwardly knowing he’d need to take care of the mess in Genya’s room before going back to sleep.

With Genya now out of his wet clothes, Sanemi grabbed Genya’s Bluey washcloth and ran it under warm water before turning back to his brother, he carefully wiped Genya’s body down making sure to get any area that could have gotten wet.

Once that was done Sanemi made sure that Genya had dried off before picking up his brother again and taking him back to his room.

Sanemi flicked on the bedroom light once they reached Genya’s room, Sanemi finally getting a good look at the aftermath of Genya’s accident. He rubbed his brother's back hoping the sight wouldn’t make his brother burst into tears again.

The first thing Sanemi did after placing his brother down was grab a diaper. Genya’s bed was far too wet for him to return to, and even if it wasn’t it was unlikely Genya would want to sleep alone after a nightmare that got him this upset, meaning Genya would be joining him in his bed. And Sanemi didn’t want to wake up to more wet sheets.

Luckily Genya didn’t fuss too much as Sanemi got the diaper on him, though his brother still did whine a bit. With Genya now in a diaper, Sanemi grabbed a dry set of pajamas for Genya and got him changed into them. With his brother now dressed Sanemi lifted Genya up and made sure to grab Bingo, who was luckily spared from the accident.

Sanemi crossed the hall and went into his room. He moved his comforter aside then put Genya down on the bed, he handed Bingo to his brother, then tucked Genya in.

Sanemi then went to the other side of the bed and got in.

Genya immediately snuggled up to his brother.

Sanemi smiled and held Genya close.

“Ready to go back to sleep bub?” Sanemi asked in a whisper.

Genya shook his head.

“Why not?”

“Scary,” Genya mumbled.

His brother's answer could have broken Sanemi’s heart. He knew his brother was likely referring to whatever dream woke him up. Sanemi couldn’t help but remember when his brother first moved in with him, the anxiety of the move brought on all sorts of issues and one was nightmares, many of their own father.

“I’m sorry Gen,” was all Sanemi could think to say.

Genya brought Bingo to his mouth and started chewing on her ear. Sanemi realized he should have brought Genya’s pacifier, and now he was pretty sure his brother wouldn’t let him leave to go get it.

“But Nemi’s here now and he’ll keep you safe.”

Genya responded by grabbing onto Sanemi’s shirt.

Sometimes Sanemi wished Genya was a bit more vocal when he was little, he wanted to know what his brother was thinking. Especially during moments like this where all he wanted to do was make Genya comfortable.

Genya pressed his face into Sanemi’s chest.

“Promise?” Genya whispered.

“Promise,” Sanemi repeated.

Genya seemed content with the answers as he relaxed a little more in Sanemi’s arms, and luckily soon after that Genya had fallen back to sleep.

At some point Sanemi had also drifted off to sleep because he was woken up by Genya who was again crying.

Sanemi quickly looked at his alarm clock and saw it was only six in the morning.

Sanemi sat up in bed and grabbed Genya, pulling him over his lap, noting that his little brother was wet. Sanemi was grateful that he had the sense to put Genya into a diaper before going back to bed.

“Are you upset cause you're wet?” Sanemi asked his brother.

Genya just continued to cry, not acknowledging his brother's question.

Sanemi gathered Genya into his arms and got out of his bed. He wasn’t sure how long Genya had been in the wet diaper, so the first thing he had to do was get his brother changed.

Once in Genya’s room he put his brother on the floor. He didn’t want to put Genya on the bed, since he’d forgotten to remove the soiled sheets last night and the mattress also needed to be cleaned up.

Genya only continued to cry and fuss when he was put on the floor. Sanemi couldn’t blame him, his brother was wet and the floor wasn’t all that comfortable.

Sanemi quickly grabbed another diaper from his brother’s closet alongside an unopened pack of baby wipes. Then he returned to his brother's side.

“Kay, Gen, I’m gonna change you now,” Sanemi explained before he began getting his brother's pants off.

The cold air in the room only seemed to upset Genya more, which was made worse once Sanemi managed to get the wet diaper off his brother as well.

As he was getting Genya into the new clean diaper he was beginning to realize today was going to be a rough day.

He could tell Genya was little- very little. Sanemi was used to his brother being small, but normally his brother was big enough to at least understand him, right now Genya seemed far beyond that.

Sanemi got Genya back into his pants then pulled his brother into his lap again. Genya was still crying and Sanemi was starting to get worried. Could he even take care of his brother if he was this little?

Sanemi stood up and rested his brother on his hip, bouncing him a bit as he grabbed Genya’s pacifier. This seemed to help a bit, Genya didn’t calm down but he went from crying to small sobs.

Sanemi took Genya to the kitchen. He knew there was no point trying to get his brother back to bed, he just hoped later today he could at least get Genya down for a nap.

He grabbed one of Genya’s bottles and filled it with milk before putting it in the microwave to heat it up. At this point Genya’s sobs had stopped, the little left sniffling as he clung to Sanemi.

When the microwave beeped, Sanemi felt Genya tense up. Sanemi quickly hit the button that opened the microwave door, worried that the beeping would make Genya start crying again.

Without incident Sanemi got the bottle from the microwave and quickly checked the temperature, happy with it he took Genya to the living room to feed him.

Sanemi sat down on the couch and got Genya into his lap. He took Genya’s pacifier from him and before his brother could even react the nipple of the bottle was in Genya’s mouth.

“There we go,” Sanemi cooed.

Genya happily suckled on the bottle almost as if he hadn’t been crying all morning.

“You’re really little today aren’t you?” Sanemi asked his brother in a hushed tone. “Are you my baby brother today?”

Genya didn’t respond; he just kept drinking his milk, so Sanemi took that as a yes.

Now that things had slowed down, Sanemi was suddenly aware of how exhausted he was. He was woken up by Genya crying twice, but he couldn’t hold that against his brother.

Soon Genya started to get fussy again, and Sanemi saw his brother's bottle was empty. Sanemi placed the empty bottle down on the coffee table then gave his brother his pacifier back.

It was then that he realized Bingo had been left in his room.

Sanemi stood up, causing Genya to cling to him with a small whine.

“Sorry bub,” Sanemi said, rubbing his brother's back, “didn’t mean to scare you, we’re just going to get Bingo.”

At the mention of Bingo Genya seemed to light up. Sanemi couldn’t help but chuckle. The first thing Genya had been able to acknowledge all morning was his plush of a cartoon dog.

Sanemi was careful to not jostle Genya too much as he carried his brother to his room. He wasn’t really too sure on the do’s and don’ts right now as he’d never seen Genya so little.

Once in his room Sanemi grabbed Bingo off the unmade bed.

Genya made a small but happy sound as he was handed the plush.

Sanemi smiled at his brother's reaction after being reunited with the toy.

“What should we do now, Gen?” Sanemi asked.

Genya didn’t respond as he babbled while rubbing his cheek against Bingo.

Sanemi decided he should finally wash the wet bedding and clothes from the night before. Still carrying Genya, Sanemi crossed the hall and went into Genya’s room. With one hand he began stripping off the blankets and sheets from Genya’s bed then tossed them into the laundry basket in the room.

Sanemi then went to the bathroom and grabbed Genya’s soiled pajamas, and took them back to Genya’s room and added them to the laundry basket.

Sanemi grabbed the laundry basket with his free hand and managed to balance it on his hips, making it one of the few times he was happy to have wide hips.

Sanemi was also grateful they had a washing machine in their apartment. Because there was no way he was going to take Genya out of the apartment when he was this little.

Sanemi tossed the soiled bedding and clothes into the washing machine, added the soap and then turned it on.

Genya whimpered and pressed himself closer to Sanemi at the sudden loud sound of the machine.

“Sorry Gen,” Sanemi apologised, taking Genya back to the living room.

Even once they were away from the washing machine Genya was still whimpering. Sanemi bounced his brother trying to console him, but Genya seemed to just get more upset.

“It’s okay Gen,” Sanemi cooed, taking his brother to the couch, “no tears, Nemi’s here, I’ve got you.”

No matter what Sanemi tried, nothing seemed to help and soon Genya was sobbing again.

Sanemi cradled his brother close, running his fingers through Genya’s hair. He was at a total loss of what to do. In a last ditch effort Sanemi turned on the TV and put Bluey on for Genya.

Sanemi did hate that turning on the TV became such a go to method for calming his brother down, but right now it was still rather early in the morning and it was the only thing Sanemi could think to do..

Bluey didn’t stop Genya’s sobs but they slowed them down considerably.

At some point Bluey wasn’t keeping Genya’s attention anymore and he began playing with one of Sanemi’s hands. Sanemi smiled warmly at his brother and let him play around with his fingers

The next time Genya started to get fussy, Sanemi knew it was because his brother wet himself again. He was used to Genya having accidents when he was small, but this was different.

Sanemi made sure to change Genya as quickly as he could as to not make his brother uncomfortable.

“There we go, all dry,” Sanemi said, as he pulled Genya’s pants back up.

“What should we do now?” Sanemi asked, sitting his brother up.

Genya's only response was a few small babbling sounds.

Sanemi lifted Genya up and looked at the time, it had been a few hours since he last gave Genya a bottle, and since he was pretty sure he wasn’t going to get his brother to eat solid foods today he figured now would be a good time to get him another bottle.

Sanemi carried Genya to the kitchen to prepare another bottle for his brother. This time Sanemi stopped the microwave before it could beep. And just like in the morning, after he checked the temperature of the bottle he gave it to Genya who again happily took it.

Once Genya was done with the bottle Sanemi carried his brother back to his room, “how about we play for a bit,” he said, putting his brother on the floor.

Genya whined at the sudden lack of contact with his brother.

“It’s okay Gen, I’m still here,” Sanemi told Genya as he sat down across from his brother.

Genya then crawled over to his brother and into his lap, where he gripped Sanemi’s shirt tight.

Sanemi smiled softly and ran his fingers through his brother's hair, “you’re even more clingy than usual.”

Genya rested his head against Sanemi’s chest.

“Do you just wanna sit and cuddle?” Sanemi asked his brother.

Genya brought his thumb to his mouth as he pressed himself closer to Sanemi.

“We can just cuddle bud,” Sanemi told Genya, taking his brother's hand from his mouth and replacing it with his pacifier.

The cuddling was quiet. Genya seemed content to just sit on Sanemi’s lap on the floor, and if Genya was content, Sanemi was content.

Sanemi eventually realized Genya was beginning to nod off. Genya whined as Sanemi moved as he began to stand up. Genya’s bedding was still in the wash and had to be dried off so Sanemi figured he would put Genya down for a nap in his bed.

As he put Genya down he realized that Bingo wasn’t with them.

“I think we left Bingo in the living room,” Sanemi told Genya as he tucked him in.

Sanemi quickly went to the living room and grabbed Bingo then brought her back to Genya, who was already falling asleep. Sanemi smiled fondly at his brother then leaned in and kissed him on the forehead. Sanemi sighed, with Genya now down for a nap he had time to do other chores around the house.

First he got the laundry from the washing machine and hung it out to dry. After that he began cleaning Genya’s mattress. This was the first time Genya had had an accident like this so Sanemi ended up having to Google how to clean pee out of a mattress and realized he probably should have started this task last night. But following the instructions he began to clean the mattress, his main goal being to get rid of the smell, which thankfully wasn’t that bad.

Sanemi also made a mental note to get mattress protectors for the beds in case something like this happened again in the future.

With the bed and bedding dealt with, Sanemi decided the next thing to do was clean the two bottles Genya had used that morning, which didn’t take all that long.

Sanemi stopped looking at the time, it was only ten but he and Genya had woken up pretty early, and since then Sanemi had been busy with his brother so he decided to finally sit down and eat some breakfast and grade some school papers.

He enjoyed the few hours of quiet as he worked, not that he had anything against his brother, or his brother being little, Sanemi just liked the down time.

Just as Sanemi was finishing grading the last few papers, he heard Genya crying from his room.

Sanemi quickly put down his pen and went to his room.

“Mornin’ Gen,” Sanemi said, lifting Genya up, “have a good nap bud?”

Genya seemed to calm down a bit now that Sanemi was holding him but he was still crying softly.

Sanemi crossed the hall into Genya’s room to get his brother changed before taking him to the kitchen to get him another bottle.

The day wasn’t even half over and a new routine had been established.

“What should we do after this?” Sanemi asked, as he fed Genya his bottle.

Genya didn’t acknowledge his brother as he suckled on the bottle, not that Sanemi had expected any response at all.

Sanemi smiled, he couldn’t get over how little his brother was. He was more used to Genya being in a toddler headspace, as far as Sanemi knew this was the first time Genya was in a baby headspace.

When Genya was finished with his bottle Sanemi placed it in the sink then went to Genya’s room.

He placed his brother down on the floor on his tummy. Physically Genya was sixteen and didn’t need tummy time, but Sanemi figured it would be a comforting activity for his brother.

Sanemi grabbed the small toy box that was kept hidden in Genya's closet and pulled out the set of blocks Genya had.

Next to Bingo they were Genya’s favorite toys to play with, with his favorite game being knocking the blocks over.

“Here you go bud,” Sanemi said, sitting across from his brother and putting the blocks between them.

Genya had one hand in his mouth and with the other he grabbed one of the blocks. He didn’t do much with it, just moved it a bit, bumping it into some of the other blocks. But it seemed to entertain Genya enough to cause him to giggle.

Sanemi smiled, and made a couple small towers of blocks that Genya knocked over with great joy.

“Guess you really love knocking blocks over,” Sanemi commented, making another small stack of blocks.

The two brothers played for a bit until Genya started to get restless. Sanemi quickly put the blocks away then grabbed his brother, who clung to him.
It was nearly lunch time now, and Sanemi figured Genya was hungry, considering all his brother really had today was three bottles of milk.

Sanemi carried Genya to the kitchen, “let's get you something to eat.”

Genya just babbled with a hand in his mouth.

Sanemi carefully took Genya’s hand out of his mouth, causing his brother to whine.

“Sorry bud,” Sanem said, running his fingers through Genya’s hair, "I'll find your pacifier after lunch.”

Genya just nuzzled into the crook of Sanemi’s neck, still babbling.

Sanemi first decided to make his brother another bottle, hoping this much milk wouldn’t upset his brother’s tummy later in the day. After placing the bottle into the microwave Sanemi went into the fridge and pulled out a small tupperware container containing watermelon cut into small cubes.

Sadly Sanemi was not fast enough to stop the microwave from beeping which upset Genya more causing his brother to begin crying.

Sanemi quickly placed the watermelon on the table, then began bouncing Genya against his hip trying to calm him down.

“Nemi’s sorry,” Sanemi cooed, getting the bottle from the microwave, “it’s okay.”

Genya didn’t calm down right away and was still crying when Sanemi brought his brother to the table. Sanemi pulled Genya in close and rubbed his back. He wasn’t sure why the microwave upset Genya so much, he couldn't remember anything from their childhood that would cause it.

Genya started to calm down a bit, and Sanemi was able to take his hand away from Genya’s back to open the tupperware container.

“Gen,” Sanemi cooed, “look what Nemi’s got.”

Genya moved away from Sanemi’s chest just long enough to see that his brother was holding a small piece of watermelon.

Genya immediately pulled away from his brother, opened his mouth and did grabby hands towards the piece of fruit.

Sanemi chuckled and fed the small bit of watermelon to his brother.

Genya chewed and swallowed the piece of watermelon, then opened his mouth for another. Sanemi continued to feed his brother the watermelon until it was all gone. By the end his brother’s face and shirt were sticky from the watermelon juice, which Sanemi was mildly confused by since he was feeding Genya carefully.

Sanemi decided that before he cleaned his brother up, he would give Genya the bottle he had prepared for him before. He grabbed the bottle of milk, which had since cooled down since Sanemi first microwaved it.

But Genya didn’t seem to mind as he took the bottle.

“Hungry little guy,” Sanemi commented.

Genya continued to drink his milk, once more not paying much attention to what his brother was saying.

When Genya was finished with the bottle, Sanemi picked his brother up and went to the bathroom. Sanemi grabbed a washcloth and got it wet, then wiped his brother's face clean.

After that, Sanemi brought his brother to his room. First Sanemi changed Genya into a clean shirt, then he changed his brother's diaper again. Sanemi noted that he would probably have to buy more in case his brother ever regressed this young again.

With Genya now changed, Sanemi again picked his brother up, went to his room to grab Bingo who was still sitting on his bed alongside Genya’s pacifier.. Genya immediately grabbed onto Bingo when Sanemi gave her to him.

“How about we watch some Bluey now bud?”

Genya just had Bingo’s ear in his mouth, which Sanemi quickly replaced with the pacifier.

Sanemi took Genya to the living room and sat on the couch, he turned the TV on then logged into his Disney+ account and turned on Bluey.

Genya gripped Sanemi’s shirt with one hand while holding Bingo with the other, completely engrossed in the show.

Sanemi started running his fingers through his brother's hair. Genya eventually rested his head against his brother's chest.

After a few episodes, Genya’s breath started to slow down as he struggled to keep his eyes open.

“Time for another nap?” Sanemi asked his brother.

Genya yawned and pressed himself deeper into Sanemi’s chest.

“I’ll take that as a yes,” Sanemi smiled.

Sanemi held Genya until he heard his brother snoring softly. Sanemi then took Genya to his room again and placed him on the bed tucking him in.

Sanemi decided to take this time to bring the laundry inside and remake Genya’s bed, which he was happy he was able to clean. After that he washed Genya’s bottle from lunch, then went back to grading papers.

Just as Sanemi was about to start grading Hashibira’s paper, which he purposely left until last, there was a soft knock at the front door, followed by it opening.

“Genya’s sleeping,” Sanemi told Giyuu as he walked through the door.

Giyuu just nodded and walked up behind Sanemi, “grading papers?”

“Yeah,” Sanemi sighed, “Genya’s pretty little today so I’m getting work done while he naps.”

Giyuu tilts his head to the side, “how little?”

Sanem shrugged, “very, like a baby.”

“Has he been hard to take care of?” Giyuu asked.

“Not really, he’s pretty quiet when he’s not crying.”

And almost as if on cue, Genya started crying from Sanemi’s room.

Sanemi stood up from the table getting ready to get Genya from his room.

“I can get him if you want,” Giyuu offered.

“I don’t think that’ll be a good idea,” Sanemi replied, "thanks for the offer though.”

Sanemi went to his room and picked his brother up making sure he grabbed Genya’s pacifier, “hey baby,” Sanemi cooed, “have a good nap?”

Genya cried, clinging to his brother.

“Let’s get you changed then we can say hi to Giyuu,” Sanemi told Genya, giving his brother his pacifier.

Sanemi took Genya across the hall and changed him the same way he had throughout the day.

Sanemi then brought Genya to the living room, where Giyuu was waiting.

Upon seeing Giyuu, Genya hid his face in the crook of Sanemi’s neck and began whimpering.

“Hey, it’s okay,” Sanemi said trying to calm his brother down, “this is Giyuu, you know him.”

This didn’t seem to calm Genya down as his whimpers slowly built into small sobs.

“Hey, hey,” Sanemi rubbed his brother's back, “it’s okay, no tears.”

“Should I leave?” Giyuu asked.

“No,” Sanemi told Giyuu, “he just needs a moment."

Sanemi continued making his way to the living room and sat on the couch, then gestured for Giyuu to join him. Giyuu sat on the couch leaving as much space as possible between himself and Sanemi.

“Come on Gen,” Sanemi cooed, trying to get his little brother to stop hiding.

“It’s okay,” Giyuu told Sanemi.

“I don’t want Genya to feel unsafe around you,” Sanemi replied.

Slowly Sanemi was able to coax Genya out from hiding and get him to face Giyuu. For a bit Genya just sat on Sanemi’s lap, eyes wet and sniffling as he stared at Giyuu. Giyuu didn’t move and just waited to see what Genya would do next.

Eventually Genya seemed to recognize Giyuu as he reached out to him.

Sanemi smiled, “there we go, good job Gen,” he praised.

Giyuu moved in a bit closer to Sanemi and Genya.

“Hey Genya,” Giyuu greeted softly.

Genya babbled as he sat on Sanemi’s lap.

“I think that’s the most he’s said all day,” Sanemi noted, combing his fingers through his brother's hair. “Genya really likes you.”

Giyuu smiled softly, watching Genya.

“He is very little,” Giyuu said, agreeing with what Sanemi had said earlier.

“I think he had a nightmare about our dad,” Sanemi explained, “he used to get those a lot when he first moved in with me, but he never regressed back then or at least never told me.”

Giyuu nodded, “sorry to hear that.”

“Bastard’s dead now,” Sanemi added with a shrug, “and Genya’s safe with me.”

“Genya is lucky to have you as a big brother,” Giyuu added.

“I’m just doing what a big brother is meant to do.”

Giyuu was quiet for a moment. At some point Genya had grabbed his hand and was playing with it.

“I still say he’s lucky.”

Sanemi just hummed and watched Genya.

In some ways, Genya was Sanemi’s world. He originally let his brother move in with him to attend the academy Sanemi taught at so Genya could get a better education and to experience things he wouldn’t be able to in their small home town.

Sanemi never thought he would be taking care of Genya the way he was now. He thought it would just be normal teenager stuff. And it took a while for Sanemi to even learn about Genya’s age regression.

Sanemi wasn’t even sure if their mom knew that Genya age regressed, he certainly hasn’t told her.

“Maybe he is,” Sanemi replied in a hushed tone.

Genya didn’t seem to pay any mind to Sanemi and Giyuu’s conversation, happily distracted with Giyuu’s hand.

Sanemi was happy that Genya could have that. That Genya could have this space where he could feel safe and be taken care of, especially after everything his brother had faced.

The rest of the day went as it had started. Eventually Sanemi was able to get Genya into Giyuu’s lap so he could get his brother another bottle and prepare dinner.

After dinner, they watched some Bluey and Sanemi started to think he should find more shows for his brother to watch.

And then eventually Genya started to fall asleep, and a very interesting day was drawing to a close.

Sanemi took his half asleep brother to his room, changed him one more time, and got him dressed for bed then tucked him in with Bingo.

Sanemi stayed in Genya’s room watching his brother slowly fall asleep. He made sure the night light was on and left the door open just a crack in case Genya needed something during the night.

Sanemi joined Giyuu on the couch, and rested his head against his boyfriend’s shoulder, the exhaustion of the day finally crashing down on him.

“You okay?” Giyuu asked.

“Been awake and taking care of a baby since six,” Sanemi explained, closing his eyes.

“Do you want to go to bed early?”

“No,” Sanemi replied, snuggling closer to Giyuu.

Giyuu responded by awkwardly wrapping his arm around Sanemi.

Neither of the two were big on physical contact so cuddling like this was rather rare.

They never bothered turning the TV on, nor did they say anything. Sanemi and Giyuu just existed together in a comfortable silence.

Slowly Sanemi began to drift off to sleep, and Giyuu nudged him softly.

“What?” Sanemi mumbled.

“You’re falling asleep, let's go to bed.”

Sanemi yawned and nodded in agreement. Giyuu took his hand, helped him off the couch and led him to Sanemi’s bedroom.

“I wanna check on Gen real quick,” Sanemi told Giyuu just before they entered the room.

Giyuu let go of Sanemi’s hand, and Sanemi went into Genya’s room.

Genya was sleeping peacefully, Bingo tucked close to his chest and under his chin. Sanemi readjusted Genya’s blanket then kissed his brother on the forehead.

“Genya truly is lucky,” Giyuu commented when Sanemi rejoined him.

“Maybe a bit,” Sanemi replied.

Sanemi and Giyuu went into Sanemi’s room. Giyuu borrowed one of Sanemi’s shirts and a pair of sweat pants to sleep in. Sanemi hadn’t changed out of his sleeping clothes during the day and was too tired to change now.

The two wished each other a goodnight and shortly after that Sanemi quickly drifted off to sleep.
