Work Text:
it was the day after new years, and for some reason, mitsuki couldn't stop admiring her own girlfriend. maybe its just because its a new year? but mitsuki can't find reason in that.
mitsuki doesn't know why she's been admiring her girlfriend more than usual, not like she wasn't before. mitsuki watches her girlfriend cook breakfast.
mitsuki would never pay that much attention to the small things, or tiny features aya had. I mean, unless they were in their bedroom, and that's it, would mitsuki pay a tiny bit more attention.
but mitsuki finds her eyes lost and locked onto the back of aya's head, drifting down to her back, and just paying attention to everything aya did.
the way aya would always unconsciously stick out her tongue whenever she was focusing,
the way aya's eyes always looked at mitsuki
the way aya always stole mitsuki's hoodie
the way aya was so unbelievably pretty in mitsuki's eyes. the eyes that would always glimmer whenever they saw the pink haired girl.
and mitsuki could list so much more. so much more it wouldn't fit in her brain.
mitsuki was too busy watching aya that she didn't smell the familiar smell of warm breakfast cooking, the smell of pancakes. mitsuki was too busy focusing on aya's very faint scent instead.
because what's better? your girlfriends scent or dumb food that you don't need to eat until you starve to death.
the answer for mitsuki is obviously her girlfriend.
but eventually aya would turn around and walk up to the table to set it, and mitsuki would pretend to be occupied on her phone.
"Were you just looking at me?" aya asks.
"What..! Me? No..never," mitsuki says with a faint pink creeping onto her cheeks.
aya laughs, but decides to leave it alone for now.
they eat breakfast, but mitsuki doesn't taste the once so yummy breakfast. how could she do that when there's such a beautiful girl in front of her?
to make it better, that's her girlfriend.
they finish the food, and mitsuki hasn't ever been so much clingier than she could possibly be.
aya likes this clinginess though, and the next day, aya caught on to how mitsuki was feeling.
and aya felt the same way, she was just more public about it.
