"The New Year starts soon, do you wish for anything?" Sal asked, looking at Murr. He shook his head, clearly lying. However, Sal didn't notice Murr's feelings towards him, so he brushed it off as Murr just being Murr. A silly ferret with a silly smile and adorable giggle, everything that Sal had always wanted.
"Not really, the year will go the same as last year I'm sure of it." Murr spoke. Sal was content with the awnser.
"Maybe so." Sal spoke, watching the fireworks go off. Outside, shouting could be heard, counting down the seconds until the year begun. Sal turned and looked at Murr deep in the eyes, then smiled. When the time hit zero, he pressed a kiss to Murr's lips. Unaware other lovebirds were watching them.
"Happy New Year Ferret." Sal spoke. Murr giggled, and wrapped his arms around Sal.
"Happy New Year Sally." Murr remarked, pressing a kiss to Sal's lips. A noise alerted them to the fact they weren't alone. Joe and Q were kissing, and when they broke away they looked at Sal and Murr.
"You guys are quite the couple, happy for you." Joe remarked. Sal looked embarrassed, as did Murr. Q laughed at Joe, and smiled.
"It's a new year, seems we're all trying something new." Q spoke, taking Joe's hand in his.
"I think this will stick." Murr remarked, taking Sal's hand in his. Q now held Joe close.
"I sure hope so." Sal spoke. Watching the fireworks go off in the sky with his friends as he held Murr close.
