An invitation was sent to 2D and Alexis, asking them for some "couple's interview" the two were obviously not interested. Their relationship has been perfect and steady for years now but somehow the media found out, their relationship wasn't meant to be a secret, both of them just preferred the media's eyes to not be on them. The media can't let a "new" and "fresh" celebrity couple go to waste, they have got to give the people what they want.
That wasn't the reason why 2d and Alexis ended up agreeing to the interview, not at all in fact Alexis would've done everything to avoid it since she hated talking about themselves and anything personal unless they were pissed drunk but what they couldn't escape was Murdoc..
Murdoc thought that this would be a perfect opportunity! For money and exposure. Which is just the sort of thing he'd do, greedy as always, always seeking for more than he's already got, thinking with his wallet and ego instead of his head. Alexis couldn't be one to talk since they were easily won over to take that interview cause he knows their weak points, being easily bribed with their addiction. Stu followed swiftly after her, Murdoc bribing him with more painkillers and even though he gladly accepted the bribe he would've gone to that interview the second Alexis agreed to it.
So that's how these two ended up here. On a couch in some room in a studio with the person interviewing them sitting infront of them with her cards, which they could only assume had the questions written on them, in her hands. The woman looked about in her early 30s, brunette, a nice smile and dressed in business casual while 2D just threw on a shirt he bought when they were touring in a foreign country. Alexis tried a bit more with her clothes, doesn't mean she wore something "professional" though. Dressing up like they're from the 90s and going to some pub, to add to this aesthetic she even brought along her cheetah print coat.
"So, this is exciting. I'm here with lead singer-songwriter Stuart pot and keyboardist and vocalist Alexis Raleigh!" The interviewer introduced with a welcoming smile "I'm Elizabeth and I'll have the honour of interviewing you lot today! So.. how are you guys first of all?"
Alexis personally wanted to answer how she didn't even want to wake up till late afternoon but instead she put on her best smile and answered as naturally as she possibly could "I'm personally happy to be here! Something about interviews is just so enticing honestly" stu nodding along, resting his back against the couch but still had his hands clasped to eachother as if he was guilty of something. It was cute to see and it made her eyes soften at the sight, the interviewer smiled not entirely cause it was sweet and cheesy to see but since this would be perfect for the recording.
"Oh!" Elizabeth exclaimed like she had forgotten something, there were four plastic paddles sitting on the table beside her, Elizabeth grabbed them and handed two to each of them. Both of them had a blue and pink one in hand, the blue paddle had a photo of 2d neatly placed in the middle and the pink one the same but with alexis' face. 2D flipped the paddles to analyze them, well maybe not analyze.. maybe thinking if he could bring them home.
"I almost forgot to give you lot these!" She sat back down on her respective spot, chuckling as she held onto her question cards "on to the questions shall we?" She leaned back and both of them nodded.
Elizabeth cleared her throat before asking the first question "so after a fight or argument, who usually apologizes first?" Alexis had to think back to the last time they even argued "do we answer who we think it is with these paddle things?" Stu asked before he answered her and he instantly held up his "Alexis" paddle when Elizabeth nodded to his question. Alexis looked shock at his answer, gave it a second and sighed, lowering their 2d paddle and holding up the one that had their face on it.
"She's well stubborn when it comes to arguments," He chuckled under his breath, hiding his face when Alexis looked back looking pretty crossed at his words. She laughed after her irration subsided mostly after seeing him laugh, playfully pushing him. "Yeah.. I like how he apologizes too, with cheesy poems" They giggled when he looked away with embarrassment.
"Great! Next question" The lady snickered before switching back to something more professional "who always makes coffee for each other in the morning?"
They both raised the blue paddle in sync.
"He's such a morning person that it's starting to annoy me.." She added sarcastically, placing her left leg over her right.
Elizabeth chuckled before asking the next question "who hogs all the blankets?"
Both pink paddles were raised in the end.
"The thing is she ends up hogging all of it but I still end up with all the blankets by the morning or especially if it's cold out" Stu explained which they huffed at "listen, it's not my fault you get all comfortably warm whenever I lay closer to you" They rolled their eyes jokingly.
"Alright, who said "i love you" first?"
Stu thought about it while Alexis confidently raised the pink one with her face on it. "No you didn't!" 2D shouted in disbelief. "Look your poems and songs don't count, babes" They rolled their eyes with an unserious loving smile on their face.
"Not my fault you were too daft to notice it.." He basically muttered under his hand while turning his head away but Alexis caught it clearly "you could've just.. I don't know, told me about your feelings and then we would've been together years ago"
His jaw was left gawking before he kissed his teeth and groaned "You're lucky I love you.."
"Yeah, I am" She cheekily responds with a cocky smirk that he doesn't see but he can feel it.
And so the questions kept coming, some about mundane and domestic relationship things like who folds most of the laundry and who is more scared during horror movies and some a bit more suggestive and personal. They both just hoped they'd edit those parts out in the final cut and save them from the embarrassment and social suicide.
"Alright, just three or so more questions and then we're done!" Elizabeth exclaimed and she got two relieved sighs from the two infront of her.
"Who cooks the best?" She questioned and the answer was blue all round.
"For being nearly fully blind he's a better cook than me." Sunny explained while chuckling.
"It really isn't a compliment, We're both quite shit at cooking" 2D added on, further explaining more "whenever I cook it's absolutely bad but when she does it, it looks like someone burned their cats bollocks on it and spread ketchup on it." Said stu and he didn't even recieve a blink of shock from Alexis cause it was as close to the truth he could get.
"..oh. okay" Elizabeth cleared her throat to cover her initial shock "uhm.. Who takes the most selfies?"
Instantly pink was raised, it seemed like an obvious answer, the only answer even. Alexis doesn't post much but it's alot more when you compare it to Stu, who doesn't even have his Instagram account fully set up so there was no arguments about this answer.
"Alright, last question then" Elizabeth held out the last card she had and softly sighed "who cuts the others hair?"
This time the paddles were mixed up. Alexis held up the pink and 2D held up the blue, both of them holding up their own face.
"What? I don't remember you ever being good at cutting hair?" She questioned "that's literally why you came to me to cut your hair"
"She didn't say anything about cutting the hair well" 2D argued back, moving his head to face his lover "I specifically remember taking care of you and your hair right when you first broke up with your bent boyfriend"
"Oh.." Alexis blinked in embarrassment, her face glowing a soft red "Yeah.. I'm still grateful for that."
2Ds previous annoyed expression turned into a sweet one. Elizabeth on the other hand had had to sit through situations like this the whole interview, it was cute sometimes but God just let this end now is what she kept repeating in her head.
"And that's a wrap!" Elizabeth jumped out of her chair and exclaimed cheerfully, almost immediately pushing Alexis and 2D out the door and they were just ask quick as her.
Saying their goodbyes, assuring the two that the interview will be up in a week and where they could find it. Alexis put on her coat and 2D followed swiftly behind her as she opened the door to leave the building.
"God, I'd rather die than do another interview like that." They stopped on the sidewalk to wait up for 2D who was putting on his coat aswell "Yeah, didn't mind it but it sure is exhausting.." He stopped right next to her, trying to zip up his jacket and was struggling to fit the zip correctly
"Exaclty, my love" She turned around and noticed he needed some help, grinning as she easily held down the jacket, gripping the zip and bringing it all the way up, closing his jacket fully. She looked up with her face only a few inches away from his, the cold air made their breaths visible.
The way the smoke from their breaths connected while they stared into each other's eyes, the heat from their breaths warming the others lips. Soon after their lips connected sweetly, 2D could feel their cheeky grin against his lips. Alexis was first to pull away while she was giggling non stop, placing a quick peck on his lips afterwards.
"You're so stupid," She giggled under her breath "I love you." Her cheeks getting redder by the minute, it might have been because of the cold weather or the kiss they weren't quite sure but it might be the latter option.
"I love you too, blondie.." He smiled and laughed with how infectious their laughter was, holding onto her hands.
