Their blood had splattered on the same tiles the pink flowing into each other as if reaching out for one another. even in death they longed for each other.
Emmys death had been quick cold and merciless the collar strapped on her neck the split second before the explosion. Kay felt the blood drip down the side of their face emmy’s blood once holding a life together dripped slowly to the floor discarded as if her life was nothing but trash.
Kay was second the gunshot piercing through their skull no hesitation as the bullet lodged itself in their frontal cortex. the murderer simply felt no remorse dragging their body from floor to floor laughing as others tried to help their blood soaking the floor taking them away from the one they had loved. Their blood flowed together.
the trial had lasted longer then it took for them to die. The round about as people went back and forth hardly discussing their deaths focusing solely on the laughter the jokes as if the two dead meant nothing.
They had died at the same spot they had met at the same spot. the fluorescent lights shining down on them making emmy’s pink hair glow. they had bonded quickly talking about mundane things the weather the sky what they had done before being put in the hells of the game. Their friendship had grown quickly the softness welcome between the two. Emmy had been accused her name written in blood her name written as if she had killed. The man who killed had laughed.
“it was the cosplayer” He had smirked looking in between the two.
“it couldn’t of been her i was with her” Kay had shouted leaning forward over the podium pointing at upside.
“well who else could it of been” upside had leaned forward mocking, taunting, tilting his head at kay as if he knew they would take the bait.
“she wouldn’t do that she is kind” kay had shouted “kinder then you ever will be”
The bacon had laughed leaning his head on the upsides shoulder as if the mockery made of emmy was a joke.
“i’m going to kill you” bacon had laughed his arm slung over the upsides shoulder leaning into his space.
“you disgust me.” kay leaned back slamming their hands down turning away from him the votes came in his name flashing across the screen. the bacon had laughed leaning away from the upsides body as the confetti popped.
The death hadn’t lasted long the upside coming back with a vengeance his final words rang true. instead of remorse the bacon brought pain trying to protect his lover the man who returned from the dead clawing his way from thanatos cold hands.
“i’m going to kill you” he had shouted chasing kay through the rooms a knife gripped in his hands. emmy her kindness evident in that moment had changed using her ability to throw herself in harms way to protect kay disguising herself as them leading the bacon in the opposite direction defies the knife struck flesh.
emmy was lucky not scathed by the knife another body collapsed to the floor the knife sticking through their back the blood flowing and flowing even as people screamed around them. their trial had been quick the bacon gone.
The next to go was emmy. her blood stained the floor the collar hung loose around her neck. gay had fallen to their knees their cries through the building as the held onto emmy’s body cursing out the upside.
“you killed her” kay shouted pointing at him as he smirked down at them.
“did i?” he had asked leaning down to be eye level with kay. “or did you”
“i would never kill her i loved her” kay spit out pushing him away. “your evil” they shouted clutching emmy to their chest their tears fell softly down their face hitting the corpse of the one they once loved.
the elevator had dragged them down still holding onto emmy’s body. before being tugged away from her kay reached out through the bars of the elevator trying to reach for emmy. The trial was quick the murdered killed his crimes payed for.
kay was shot next. the bullet through their skull. the same spot emmy had died moments before their body hit the ground falling just as emmy had moments before. truly as kay bled out they thought at least they died where they had lost their meaning for life. the blood still warm. it felt as if they had earned one last hug. death embracing them.
