Chuuya and Dazai were standing on the rooftop of some building. Dazai had his arms rested on the railing and had a pair of binoculars held up to his face. The two had been sent together on a small mission, much to both boy's annoyance. Dazai lowered the binoculars when he heard the sound of packaging being opened besides him. Looking over to his right where Chuuya was opening a box of chocolates. Dazai stared at the box for a moment and then looked up at Chuuya.
"Something wrong over there bandages?" Chuuya asked feeling Dazai's soulless gaze on him.
"Of course not, I just forgot what day it was," Dazai said flatly as he turned his attention back to the mission.
"Huh? What's the date have anything to do with this? Are you trying to mess with me again?"
"Ugh you're going to give me a headache with all your yelling. Don't you own a calendar? You seem like the type to buy one of those tacky dog ones. If you really don't know, its February 14th."
Chuuya was silent for a moment too long. Dazai looked over at Chuuya for a moment and laughed a bit to himself, "Wait you really-? It's Valentine's Day slug. That's why you got chocolates." Chuuya's face flushed as he looked at the box of chocolates in his hand. It was clear to Dazai, Chuuya had misunderstood the situation, not understanding the simplicity of a women handing out chocolates to male coworkers. It was obviously just intended to be taken as an expression of gratitude.
But would Dazai enlighten Chuuya with this information? Of course not. The bandaged teen would much rather see the ginger all embarrassed and flustered.
"Make sure you get your admirer a gift worth double the value a month from now."
"Shut it!"
Dazai hummed softly turning back to his work.
