The morning sun filtered through the monastery windows, the time was half past 6. A sudden alarm clock ringing woke Lloyd up with a start, as a growl below him expressed annoyance at the alarm. Lloyd sighed and turned the alarm on his phone off. Lloyd rustled Olykee's hair, careful to not touch sensitive horns. The Oni let out a soft purr at the action, tail flicking lazily.
Things had been… crazy after the Crystal king incident. Harumi had been sent to some rehabilitation center in Ninjago (Per Lloyd's request), The monastery had been rebuilt, Garmadon had come back into Lloyds life, and Olykee had left the Oni tribes to be with Ninja and Elemental Masters. Not only that, but Lloyd and Olykee had become.. mates? Boyfriends? Something like that. It was hard for everyone to adjust to having an Oni (other than Lloyd or Garmadon) as part of the team. There were still some things that Olykee wasn't really acquainted with, even though he had been with the Ninja for 6 months. But that was okay, no one expected him to just adjust to Human life so easily.
Lloyd attempted to get up, but was stopped when a clawed hand caught his waist, pulling him back into the sleepy Oni's arms.
"Ozzie.. It's time to get up for training." Lloyd attempted to get up, but failed.
"I haven't had my two hours yet.." Olykee sleepily growled to the blonde in his arms.
Olykee, like all Oni, technically only required 2 full hours of sleep. Olykee spent the hours of sleep for 5-7 am, he spent the night hours guarding Lloyd while he slept. Lloyd had tried to convince the Taller Man that nothing was going to happen to him in the night, but Olykee ignored the smaller man. He was used to standing guard at night anyways.
Lloyd huffed at the Oni's stubbornness. He managed to wiggle his way out of the Oni's grasp, giving Olykee a playful smirk when he was free. Olykee watched as Lloyd exited the room to go to the bathroom with tired eyes. Olykee yawned as his claws kneaded where Lloyd just was, careful to not tear the covers. He stretched his way off the bed, shaking sleep out of one his legs. He stood up tall, stretching his arms over his head. He headed over to his and Lloyd's shared closet, rummaging through everyday clothes to find his purple gi. He grabbed the gi and put it on the bed for later, going back to the closet to find training clothes. He locked the door and slipped his clothes on.
Over the past few months, Olykee had learned to only use his Actual Oni form when necessary. He stayed in his more human form when he was around the others, as to not frighten them. Lloyd had filled him in as to what happened during the last Oni fiasco, so he didn't want to take any chances with his form.
Lloyd headed into towards the bathroom, only to be stopped by a line for the only bathroom in the monastery. Nya was at the front and Cole was at the back. Jay and Zane were between them.
"Why is there a line? Where's Kai?" Lloyd asked Cole.
"Kai's in the bathroom, and he's taking forever." Cole explained to the blonde.
Nya pounded on the door to the bathroom, spewing threats to her brother inside. Jay leaned on Nya's shoulder, groaning something about needing to use the bathroom.
Just then, Kai strolled out of the bathroom, his hair gel'd and he was wearing training clothes. Everyone let out a sigh of relief as it was Nya's turn. Nya let Jay go ahead of her so he didn't piss himself in the hallway (Which Jay profusely thanked her for). Everyone finished their turn in the bathroom and Lloyd headed in. He grabbed his toothbrush and began brushing his teeth, slightly cringing at the overly minty taste of the toothpaste. He completed brushing his teeth and moved on to brushing his hair. He ran his fingers through his blonde locks, not bothering with a brush. He then moved on to Putting on cologne and deodorant. Then finally, he grabbed his training clothes he had sat out the night before and put them on, discarding pajamas into the laundry hamper near the shower.
Lloyd and Olykee reunited outside, just as Sensei Wu instructed everyone to do stretches. Olykee, in short, was a lot more flexible than everyone else. Oni stalked in shadows and hid in narrow caves, it was normal to him. Everyone then moved on to exercises. Kai partnered up with Jay, Lloyd went with Cole, and Olykee and Nya went together. Zane got put in charge of watching everyone while Wu went to grab more Tea.
Everyone had finished exercise by the time Sensei came back, so the moved on to actual training. About an hour after that it was time for breakfast.
The dining room was filled with chattering and laughter, Everyone was either having granola bars or cereal that morning since no one wanted to make food.
Lloyd and Olykee were sat next to each other. The two lovers were bantering over some Comic Lloyd had introduced him to a few months ago.
"I'm telling you, that bad guy has no chance against Fritz Donnegan. All he does is brood and his goons do all the work!" Lloyd smirked.
"Fritz has never been up against someone like the current villain however, Not to mention the Villian looks skilled enough to take him down." Olykee slow blinked at Lloyd, grinning.
Lloyd rolled his eyes and kept eating his granola bar. Nya and Jay looked at the Lovers with a knowing look. They had been like that with eachother too, albeit not as much.
After breakfast Sensei Wu gave everyone some free time. Lloyd and Olykee had decided to go roam around Ninjago city for the rest of the day, and go back to the monastery around Dinner time. Olykee very rarely left the Monastery, mainly because he didn't want to alarm any humans that were in Ninjago city. With Lloyd with him however, he assumed it was Alright.
The two had changed into normal clothes and set out for Ninjago city, arriving in a few minutes.
"What all did you wanna do while we're here." Olykee reached for Lloyd's hand, which he accepted.
"Dunno, the last time you've been here was when we were fighting the crystal king… so I don't know. What do you wanna do?" Lloyd rubbed Olykee's hand.
"Hmm… While we were fighting… I saw some sort of green sign? It said something bucks." Olykee replied.
"Oh! You mean Starbucks? It's a coffee place. There's one near here."
Lloyd led Olykee to the nearest Starbucks, which was quite literally a block away. They ordered and paid for their drinks, and decided to drink and walk. Olykee's nose wrinkled and fangs bared as he tasted the drink, to which Lloyd laughed at.
"Its bitter." Olykee spat.
"You got black coffee, it's literally the most bitter form of coffee there is. Mine has other stuff in it to make it not as bitter if you wanna try mine." Lloyd held out his cup for Olykee to take.
Olykee tasted Lloyd drink, it was still bitter but not as much as before. The duo continued to walk down the street, throwing away their cups when they were done. Soon enough, the lovers found themselves at a comic store. Lloyd excitedly headed into the comic store and Olykee followed closely behind. Lloyd explained the premises of some of the comics to Olykee as picked them up.
"You… really like these colorful papers, don't you?" Olykee observed.
"They're called comics, but yes. Especially starfarer" Lloyd said as he picked up a starfarer comic.
Olykee hummed as he placed a kiss on the top of Lloyd's head, to which Lloyd lightly blushed at.
A few hours later, the boyfriends found themselves at the park. They were in a part of the park that was isolated and they couldn't be seen by anyone. Earlier in their day in Ninjago city, Lloyd had disappeared into some shop called 'Spencer's', and emerged with a bag of items. Lloyd and Olykee sat down near the base of a tree.
"Hey… what's in the bag?" Olykee pointed to the Spencer's bag.
Lloyd blushed some at the mention of the bag. Lloyd moved the bag away from Olykee.
"Uhm.. I don't think I wanna say yet." Lloyd stutters.
Olykee raised an eyebrow but didn't say anything else about the bag. Lloyd rested his head on Olykee's shoulder as Olykee wrapped an arm around Lloyd's waist. The larger Oni leaned down to kiss the blondes cheek, his Thin goatee scratching his cheek in all the right places. The lovers stared at each other before Lloyd lifted his head and kissed the Oni. Kissing soon turned to making out, Olykee's tongue going into Lloyd's mouth. Lloyd shifted from to the park floor to Olykee's lap. Olykee wrapped his arms around Lloyd's waist, and Lloyd wrapped his arms around Olykee's neck. Lloyd felt Olykee's tail flicking next to him. The two pulled away for air, 30 seconds in. Olykee slow blinked at Lloyd, purring into Lloyd's shoulder.
"I love you.. half mortal." Olykee whispered. Lloyd blushed.
"I-I love you too." Lloyd muttered
Olykee touched his horn to Lloyd's neck, the opposite side of where his mating gland was. Lloyd had learned from Olykee that when an Oni does this, They're asking to give lovebites. Lloyd nodded, giving Olykee better access to his neck. Olykee got to work, nipping Lloyd's skin and leaving visible hickeys. Lloyd let out small groans, letting Olykee do his thing since he knew it was instinctual for Oni. Once Olykee had his fill, he went to the other side of Lloyd's neck, pressing his nose to his mating gland.
"It's getting late, we should probably head back to the monastery" Lloyd said, his breath shaky.
Olykee looked up, the sun was beginning to set in Ninjago. The larger Oni sighed, playing with his mates blonde locks.
"I suppose your right, half mortal" Olykee purred.
Lloyd rolled his eyes at the nickname. The two got up, Lloyd grabbing the spencers bag, and headed back for the monastery.
