Chapter Text
Ohm, a fashion designer, is about to launch his new clothing collection exclusively for men, which is why he is looking for an attractive man with good presence. He holds a casting for new models, tries with some from his own company, but none of them spark the light in his eyes.
Already completely frustrated and almost giving up, he decides to go to his friend and colleague, Namping, to tell him about his problem at the latter’s office.
“Seriously, I don’t know what to do anymore,” Ohm ran his hands over his entire face; he looked tired, that sharp gaze he used to have could not be compared to the one he had now, tired eyes with dark circles. “I’m too frustrated,” he laid his head on Namping’s desk.
Namping began to stroke the taller man’s hair, while with a slight smile he shook his head.
“Don’t give up, there may be a perfect man just like the one you want, you just have to search deeper,” he smiled.
Ohm slightly turned his head, just enough to look at Namping.
He sighed.
“I know, but… it’s too frustrating, this has never happened to me before,” he straightened up in his seat, looking at the brunette. “Two weeks have already passed and I can’t find the right one. Namping, I don’t know what to do,” he whined.
Namping laughed; his friend might appear to be a cold, strict, and calculating man in what he does, but he knows that Ohm is someone sweet, stubborn, and dramatic.
“Just take a breather, then you can keep looking.”
“…Alright.”
“Now…”
Namping was interrupted by knocks on his door; when it opened, it gave way to his secretary.
“I’m sorry sir, but you have a meeting in 5 minutes,” the brunette woman mentioned.
“Oh, okay. Ohm, you can stay here or go explore the company, you can do whatever you want,” he stood up, fastening his gray suit jacket with platinum details.
“Of course I’ll tour the new company, Namping. Who do you take me for?”
Ohm put on an offended face.
Both burst out laughing; Namping knew Ohm was far too curious.
“Ohm, never change.”
“I never will, darling,” he winked flirtatiously. “Now go to that meeting, we’ll see each other later,” he smiled.
Namping nodded and left with his secretary, leaving Ohm alone in the brunette’s office.
He took his phone to continue looking for candidates, but none were the right one, or maybe they were, but not for Ohm. He stayed like that for half an hour, until he sighed tiredly and left the place.
He needed to distract himself, not focus so much for now on the perfect model, so he decided to explore his friend’s new company.
Namping and he met in fashion school; from the moment they entered they were paired up whenever a heavy project had to be done. As time went by they became inseparable and out of nowhere the friendship arose. Now both are recognized and successful designers, and despite the media trying to pit them against each other, the friendship still endures.
Ohm got so lost in his memories that he barely realized he had walked through more than half of the company.
He stopped in front of a large window that gifted a beautiful view of the magnificent garden; something Ohm recognized about his friend was that he had good taste for flowers.
Ohm was enjoying the view to clear his mind, until out of the corner of his eye he noticed flashes. He saw that it was the photography studio. He moved closer to the door; the first thing he saw upon fully entering was the photographer and his assistants. He didn’t go beyond the frame so as not to interrupt.
He began to scan the place with his gaze; it was spacious and well lit, it was perfect. Later he would ask Namping for the name of the place where he ordered the lights. He gave a small jump when the photographer shouted.
“Mr. Karn, you truly look like a professional model, your photos will be incredible.”
“Thank you very much, sir.”
The photographer nodded his head.
“Girls, could you retouch his makeup please?”
Ohm was deeply shocked upon hearing that voice; it was very deep, but attractive. He tried to lift his face a little more to see the owner of that voice. When he raised his gaze enough, he saw the makeup artists nod at the photographer’s request and approach the model with their tools and a glass of water.
“Here is the water you requested a moment ago, sir.”
“Thank you very much.”
Ohm tried to move a little more so he could manage to see the model, however he couldn’t because of the backdrop hanging from the ceiling.
When the makeup artists stepped away, they lifted the hanging backdrop, and that was when he saw him.
Ohm’s breath caught; he was a tall man, even taller than him, attractive, elegant, with completely defined features, feline and intense eyes enhanced by the makeup. Ohm couldn’t stop looking at him, he knew he was the one, that tall man with the deep voice was the one meant to be his model…
