It was a normal day, well not for the event toons... Christmas has just ended, Eclipse counts the days by making an makeshift calendar on the wall of the room with her claws, She sighs heavily. already missing halloween, she looks over, Bassie had the little kiddo gourdy sleeping on her lap, eclipse ran a hand thru her fur. pulling her knees to her chest.
Eclipse looks around again, seeing the chocolate bunny.. Her name was cocoa, if eclipse recalls correctly. She's one of the easter toons, maybe talking to her for awhile won't be bad?
Gathering enough courage, Eclipse manages to leave her side of the large empty room and walk over towards cocoa, clearing her throat to get the bunny's attention.
"Uhm, hi!... My name's Eclipse, you're cocoa right?" eclipse asks awkwardly, to her surprise. Cocoa responds with excitement
"Oh hello! Yes, i'm cocoa.. So nice to meet you eclipse! I remember gourdy telling me about you!" Cocoa exclaims kindly, It made Eclipse feel something, her heart was beating faster. She quickly composed herself and responded.
"Oh!... Yeah, cocoa.. Uhm, i was wondering if.. I could talk to you to pass the hours, heh..." eclipse felt her heart beating out of her chest, oh god it felt so awkward..
There was a slight pause in the air, eclipse thought she messed up. Thinking desperately for a way to find a way to escape this awkward moment.... Until cocoa spoke up
"Oh yes yes! I can tell you about the easter toons, i would love to talk to you!" Cocoa responded, gleaming with joy.. Eclipse let out a breath she didn't even realize she was holding..
"I'm glad you agreed, so.. What do you easter toons usually do with the kids?" eclipse asked, starting the conversation casually.
After hours of talking, eclipse found herself really enjoying cocoa's company, even looking forward for tomorrow to talk with her again! Cocoa soon spoke up, "oh. I think it's getting late. We should return back to our seperate groups! " she suggested
Eclipse agreed, they both waved goodbye before they walked off... Eclipse couldn't shake off the feeling of disappointment. . maybe tomorrow would be a better day? Who knows.
The next day, eclipse woke up. Bright and early, already ready to find cocoa and start talking with her.. Maybe eclipse could tell her more about halloween? She just can't wait to see cocoa today, suddenly ribecca approached her.
"eclipse, you look happier than usual, what happen?" ribecca asked casually, snapping eclipse out of her train of thoughts.. Eclipse hesitsted before responding.
"Nothing.. Heh, ribecca... I was just looking forward for me and cocoa's hangout today, she's really fun to be around.." Eclipse responded, her tail wagging unconsciously.
"Oh? Good for you, eclipse. I've been talking to bassie more often, she's really nice to be around, she even made me a flower crown! Well, see you around, eclipse." Ribecca responded.
Eclipse watched as ribecca walked away, she thought to herself 'do i really look happier than usual? Oh well..,, talking to cocoa is way more interesting than getting my mind occupied. ' Eclipse sighed to herself. until a familiar voice that made eclipse's heart do a little flip was heard.
"Eclipse!! Eclipse! There you are ...!" Cocoa responded, waving enthusiastically and smiling.. "Eclipse, do you want a bonbon? I made these especially for you!" She said, eclipse was a bit taken aback, chuckling to herself
"Really? That's wonderful, cocoa.. I would love one!" eclipse responded, smiling abit. Cocoa gave the bonbon to her. She took a bite out of the bonbon, admiring the taste and flavour, before swallowing to compliment it.
"Wow cocoa! These are really good," She complimented. Cocoa felt her cheeks turn red. "Aww!! Thank you, eclipse..." She said.
Cocoa and Eclipse saw flyte going towards them, "cocoa! There you are.. Can you come with me for a moment? Gourdy wants one of your bonbons, he says he's hungry." He says, panting abit.
Cocoa was a bit hesitant about leaving eclipse's side, but seeing eclipse encouraging her. Cocoa nodded and responded, "okay, flyte! I'm coming!" She said. Waving goodbye towards eclipse before walking away with flyte.
Eclipse was left with her thoughts for a moment, debating whether to collect flowers for cocoa as a thank you gift for the bonbon, there are flowers everywhere in the easter part of the room.. She quickly finished eating the bonbon.
Eclipse quickly searched around the easter part for flowers, collecting pink tulips and lavenders ones, they smelled beautiful and was pretty, it was the perfect gift for cocoa.
After collecting them all, she found cocoa looking around for her.. She thought it was the great time, she quickly and quietly approached cocoa tapping on her shoulder.
“h-huh?...” Cocoa exclaims in embarassment, She turns around quickly, only to be met with flowers. Eclipse's eyes soften a bit.
“Well, i've thought you'd like it.. I collected the flowers by hand..,, i should- this is so..., i knew you wouldn't even like it what am i even?—" Eclipse stutters, thinking cocoa didn't like it. Only to be cut off.
“No no! I love it, thank you so much Eclipse!” Cocoa responds in adorationx grabbing the flowers from her hands. nuzzling her nose into her flowers..
Eclipse she should respond, but it felt right... She was so cute, eclipse's heart did a little stupid flip in adoration. her ears twitching slightly.
"O-oh!... Uh, i'm glad you enjoyed it, so... What do you say for another hangout tomorrow? " eclipse asked, smiling abit.. Cocoa nodded, thinking it was a great idea.
"Sure, eclipse! I'll meet you there in the afternoon!" she said enthusiastically, giggling abit.. It also made eclipse's heart melt at cocoa's cute antics.
