Shelly was knocking on Vee's door, with a plate of screws and oils for her 'breakfast', concerned about her. "Vee! May I come in? We're all worried about you!" After some more knocking, Shelly heard the mechanical footsteps of Vee approaching the door. "Come in. Put the breakfast on the table." Vee said, opening the door. She seemed to have bags under her eyes and pixelated tears. "Vee. What's wrong?" Shelly said in a comforting tone. "We all want you to feel better." Vee turned to Shelly with a tired expression. "Promise not to tell anyone?" she asked. Shelly responded "Of Course. I care about you." Vee explained "Me and Astro have been having problems. I tried to fix him and Shrimpo's problems with each other, but it backfired badly. I really care about him, but I don't know what to do.." Shelly took in what Vee said. Astro has been seeming a bit more gloomy lately. "Well.." Shelly tried. "What I'd do if I was you, is tell Astro how sorry you are, and promise not to meddle with his problems without him wanting you too." Vee was surprised Shelly had made such a thoughtful answer. "That actually isn't a bad idea." she spoke. "Thank you Shelly. Truly." Shelly was happy Vee started feeling better. "Oh, no problem! How about we just sit here for a bit." she comforted. They sat there in a nice, relaxing silence until Dandy busted in. "Howdy guys, don't forget we're opening in 10 minutes people. Gotta get ready for our lil' song we always do." he blabbered. "Shut up Dandy." Vee growled. "Geez, let a flower have fun, why don't ya.." he said walking away.
10 minutes later like Dandy said, they were opening, performing their little song they always sing when the place opens up. The lyrics went in order of their code names. Dandy as he's L-001, and then Astro, Sprout, Vee, and Shelly as M-002 to M-005.(Ok this part's them singing, you can skip to Shelly if you don't like singing)
Dandy: "Name's Dandy, the star of the show! Make new friends anywhere you go!"
Astro: "I'm Astro, the toon in your dreams. If ya got any nightmares, just leave it to me.."
Sprout: "It's me, Sprout! My treats are divine! My baking skills aren't any less than sublime!"
Vee: "I'm Vee. I do my gameshow.. I can't do this.."
Shelly: "My name's Shelly! Dinosaurs are so cool! Back in the day they used to rule!"
Vee's senses to fail, her hearing started getting worse, she couldn't feel her bow tie with her hand, and she fell down to the ground. Her vision fading in and out. She could hear children screaming, parents trying to comfort them, Shrimpo's laughter at the scenario. She even heard Dandy panicking about what to do, Sprout trying to see if she was still alive, Shelly going to get a staff member, Pebble licking her screen, and Astro crying lightly. The last things she heard was Veronica screaming "May day! May day! M-004 is down!" into her walkie-talkie and presumably, her being picked up on a stretcher. When she woke up, she was in a dark room, the door was locked. "Let me out! LET ME OUT!" she screamed for 15 minutes with no response. The room looked familiar to her, then she realized this was the room where she saw Vee Version 2. She looked around and noticed that it was gone. She started crying about how her life was basically over.
Meanwhile, Gardenview had closed for the day, much to the dismay of the Toons. "Poor Vee.. I hope she's alright." muttered Shelly, concerned for her friend. "I hope so too.." Dandy said. "I never really knew how much I'd miss her when she's gone.." Astro looked down, really sad, hoping he could talk to Vee after she got back. Sprout tried to maintain control. "Guys calm down, I don't think she's dead. She'll come back ready to go." He was as concerned for Vee as the rest of the Toons were. Arthur and Delilah eventually walked out of a room, with frowns on their faces. "We're sorry to inform you guys, but Vee Version 1 has expired." Arthur said. Every toon gasped at the announcement. They couldn't believe she was gone. Some of the Toons started crying out loud, while others were really sad. Even Shrimpo looked a bit different then mad. "But," he continued. "Vee Version 2 is here! With improved emotions, education, and a deluxe personality! Say hi, Vee!" Something peeked out behind Delilah and walked towards the mic. She looked similar to Vee but was a brighter green, had a flat screen head, had a green suit with yellow buttons, a sharp bowtie with red accents, and taller. "Hey guys!" Vee Version 2 spoke. "I hope we can all be best friends!" The toons looked around at each other. Some of them were immediately fans of her, but some were a bit more skeptical. Delilah grabbed a hold of the mic. "That's all. You all are dismissed."
The main toons went to their fancy little club room. The 4 (and Pebble) sat there in silence until the door opened, showing Vee Version 2(or Vee V2 as I'll call her from now on). "Heya, fellow mains!" she said, with her hand out for a shake. "Haha, H-hey Vee.." Dandy stuttered, shaking her hand with a bit of a loose grip. "Hi, I like your vibe already!" Sprout said shaking her hand with a equally firm grip. Shelly grabbed Vee's hand and said her hellos. Astro stared at Vee V2's face with a blank look and very lightly shook her hand. Vee V2 wanted to ask Astro if something was wrong, but she decided to leave to go greet to other toons. "I don't really like her." Astro said. "She just doesn't feel like.. Vee." Shelly agreed "Yeah, somethings just.. off with her." "Maybe we just need to get used to her.." Dandy murmured. Sprout said he thought Vee V2 was cool, and that they should be friends with her, and that's 'what Vee would've wanted'. They all walked out of the room to do some of their hobbies.
Later at the diner, Cosmo & Sprout were baking when Vee V2 shows up. "Yo Cosmo, cover for me while I shoot my shot y'know?" Sprout asked his friend Cosmo. "Ayo, wait a sec bro. Ain't Vee & Astro dating." pondered Cosmo. Sprout reassures his friend "Yo bro relax. Astro said that he doesn't like Vee V2 like he did Vee. Don't worry twin, I got it on lock." Cosmo gave him the go for it sign and Sprout made his way to where Vee V2 was sitting. "Yo. Are you Wi-Fi cause I feel a connection between us." flirted Sprout. "Oh, Hi Sprout. Hehe, you feeling good?" said Vee V2 blushing a little. "I feel as good as I could ever be." replied Sprout. "Although.. I do feel lonely sometimes. Wanna hang out?" "Uhm- Yeah, sure. see ya there!" Vee V2 stammered, her screen being overloaded with blush. Sprout then walked over to his friend Cosmo. "And that's how ya get a girl." he teased. "Sprout, you literally broke your phone 1 hour after got it, shut your bitch ass up twin." Cosmo laughed. The two went back to cooking. Astro was in his room, looking up at the ceiling in sadness. He missed Vee so much. He missed her laugh when she found something funny, how her antenna did a little spark when she saw someone she liked, the way her mic would wag when they talked together. He missed all of that with her. He wishes they could've had one last night with each other before she got scrapped. That's when he heard a knock on the door. When he opened it, Dandy was at the door with a treat basket, Pebble right behind. "Astro? Are you feeling good?" asked Dandy. Astro sighed "I'm really not feeling good at all, buddy.." "How about we talk in my room?" Dandy comforted. In Dandy's room, Astro broke down and started telling Dandy what happened. "I miss Vee, Dandy. I miss her so much.. I'm going to go find her. I'll be back." As Astro was walking to the exit, he felt someone grab his blanket. "I'm going with you. Shelly can babysit Pebble." Dandy said. "Even though me and Vee don't like each other, she makes you happy. And I'm not going to let my personal beef with her get in the way of you being happy, cause you're my bestest friend in the world." Astro smiled "Promise?" Dandy smiled back. "Promise. But we should get lunch, and maybe some snacks for the road y'know?"
