Chapter Text
I had only eaten a couple pieces of fruit this morning for breakfast. Too excited to really try and eat anything else. Dad- I mean Jake said he had time to play this morning before he had to link up! Which means we get to play with the dolls uncle Max had gotten me! I still don't remember why he gave them to me but I don't really care. They were new toys and I barely have any of those.
While waiting for Jake to come to my room I decided to start the task of setting up a space to play, aka make a little town out of building blocks and gather up all the toys I have. Which consisted of a couple dolls, some stuffed animals and a couple bad plastic animals. Not that the animals looked bad- they looked just fine. The plastic was just bad quality. Oh! I nearly forgot about the wooden animals my big sister got from before the school shut down... I'm still sad I never got to go there when it was still happening.
When I'm nearly done setting up I hear voices and wheels in the hallway. A telltale sign that Jake was on his way! Probably with one of my uncles or aunties since there is talking. I wonder who it is? Maybe it's uncle Norm? Or maybe auntie Grace lecturing him again? I'll see in a bit. Right on time the door opens to reveal Dad- Jake and uncle Norm talking about stuff I don't really care about right now. All I want is to play dolls with Jake and until he looks my way I'm going to glare at him. Since that somehow always gets his attention.
Just as I thought, when I started glaring (pouting in Jake and Norms eyes) Jake looks over to me and chuckles. Waving uncle Norm off for now since clearly he has more important matters to attend to. When uncle Norm finally leaves and closes the door Jake wheels over to me while I explain the town I made and what characters our dolls were going to be this play session.
When I'm finished explaining I look up at him expectantly. Waiting for that nod of understanding that I learnt was very important after he didn't pay attention to my explaining and tried to play without knowing the characters! It was a disaster! I tried to explain so many times but he just didn't get it! It took so long trying to explain that he had to do his log and that's where I figured out why he couldn't pay attention. Jake had started his training with Neytiri and just couldn't stop thinking about her. He sounded like a lovesick fool the whole time he talked about her. I hope I never sound that way about someone!
I got so tired of his talking that I ended up going to uncle Tommy to complain but he just laughed at me and told me that's what people inlove sounded like. I can only be thankful that uncle Tommy will never be like that. Wait a minute- I have to bring you back to the present!
Jake had nodded, thank Eywa, which meant we could start playing! It was great! We hadn't been able to play in awhile since he had na'vi training to do with Neytiri and that took up a lot of time. We had to stop eventually though since he had to link up but it was nice while it lasted. After Dad linked up uncle Tommy said me and him could go out and look at some of the flora- that means the plants- and take samples and stuff. So I did that with him for a while. It was nice but kinda weird since Dad and him still look really similar in their avatars- which makes sense since they're twins but still.
