Chapter Text
‘###### was found in this weird forest, everything felt so wrong!’ -Roblox Admin
In a rural forest area near a Robloxian village, the shadows of nearby trees begin to warp and grow taller. To any observer, the scene could only be described as eerie, the unnatural shadows growing forward and warping. For experienced coders, this would appear like the code, the force that held their world together, was being pulled and forced to move in ways that are completely unnatural. The code was shredding and rebuilding itself over and over again. His agony could not be contained within a simple shell of code.
Later, someone, an admin wielding a sword, would nearly vomit at the sight that was left behind. Coders and hackers alike could only describe it as an abomination. A glitch, but scripted, a bug, but not interfering with the code. It was purposeful, and disgusting. They did not know where they were, they had been normal, but then-
Disgusting, what is this…I feel sick just looking at it. We’re going to need to call in Builderman for help.
Telamon wasn’t normally one to ask for help. His pride too strong and his ego too big. While he was looking at the mess, he noticed the code was trying to coalesce into some sort of figure. But why, he didn’t know. Whoever did this must’ve done it in a rush, because the code isn’t forming all too well. It’s quite slow… but the consequences of wiping the code here could affect the village nearby, and the last thing we need is more complaints. She was sick of this life
Telamon extended his hand, and manipulated the code to do its intended purpose safely, rewriting scripts in seconds. But to his surprise, the code snapped like a wild animal, and tried to bite him! “How…?” Was this even possible? He realized the code was actually sentient, and scared. At first he thought it was some hacker messing around and trying to teleport, instead of screwing up the area around them. But this…is completely wrong. I feel like I should not be here. She did not have limbs to feel, but this [Admin] would pay for that.
Telamon tried to shrug off the feeling, ignoring the fact it was unsuccessful. Reluctantly, he contacted Builderman with his private chat.
Hello Builderman, it seems there is a strange bit of sentient code at my location, please arrive here; #####-Roblox_Village_1.4 -Telamon.
Builderman glanced over to his chat panels, hearing a customized ping which signified Telamon had contacted him. Reaching over, he navigated the panel over to his private chat with Telamon, a bit confused as to why the avian would contact him now. He read the message, his yellow features furrowing in confusion. Not as much as his.
Builderman arrived at the forest area, at first he thought that maybe some inexperienced hacker attempted to create an AI. But as he arrived at the wooded clearing, saw the shifting shadows, the palpable unease and discomfort, all he felt was fear. Pushing the emotion down, he assessed the space.
Sentient code? Perhaps a new admin? He felt as if that couldn’t be it, even though it was a reasonable expectation. Something was amiss. (Usually, when a new admin was brought into their world, the sentient code would quickly manifest and form a Robloxian with admin privileges. Not this slow, pitiful lump that was moving at a snail's pace. Whoever this was, it could be very painful…) Their whole body, which was not whole, ached and PULLED and HURT. She was going to- [Reset_Character, Error, none found. Please try- please try again.]
Everything hurt, her whole body- THEY COULDNT SEE. They could see everything. He was contained, she was freed. Tthey must pay. She did n0t know who [The Admins] wwere. He did not- their whole body w4s being tornn apart and rewrit1en every second, agony tore through her bones like they were paper. Her mind could not comprehend the pain being inflicted upon her. Or was it being inflicted by them or by someone else? Their being, stretched and stuffed into a shoddy cage which they could not break free, suddenly felt as if they had been poked, and they latched onto the sensation like it was a lifeline. They wanted to cry out, her face, if she could feel it, would’ve been stained with tears. Did she have a face anymore? She snapped and flailed and BIT. Feeling his teeth- at least maybe his teeth, latch onto something, something solid.
As quick as the sensation came, it shook her off like they were a fly. If anything, he was overwhelmed and in pain. While trying to sort out their sensations, a sudden clearness approached. Like a break in the fog, in the pain. She felt as if they could settle, or sleep. They started to drift off, unaware of the two present in front of him.
Builderman, after much tweaking with the malicious code, eventually managed to tame it down to something manageable. It was still there, and seemed to even have an identity tag of its own, though heavily corrupted. “How did this even happen…?” The more he looked at the mess in front of him, it occurred to him that there was something underneath the code. Festering, rotting, a mess of something he had never seen but knew as flesh. “T-this is not code.” He stammered out, his face turned to one of horror. Telamon was no better, looking sick to his stomach. “If you’d excuse me…” Telamon walked away, Builderman could hear his retching and vomit, and yet he couldn’t bring himself to feel disgust despite the scene in front of him. Because whatever this thing was, it was still alive.
