Work Text:
The time was 9:30 AM.
Inkwell Ballpoint was waking up, her eyes fluttering open as the sunlight beamed over her face.
With a small yawn, she opened her eyes fully and rolled over, only to see that her dear Henry was not by her side.
Slightly worried, she stood up, dashing down the stairs in a slight hurry as she searched for her lovely boyfriend who didn’t usually disappear like this.
Eventually, the slight worry grew into panic as she realized that he was nowhere to be found.
She went to double-check every room in the fairly spacious home, in hopes of finding Henry, but her luck ran short as her search yielded no results.
After the realization that Henry was gone, she rushed back to her room as tears welled up in her eyes. She began to cry, and cry, and cry, until suddenly…
She woke up.
It was all a nightmare.
A familiar pair of arms were wrapped around her as she was in her panic.
"Shh... it's alright. I'm not going anywhere."
It was Henry.
He was right. He didn't go anywhere.
As her feelings of urgency and panic began to fade, it was soon replaced by comfort and serenity.
She was right where she belonged.
In her lover's arms.
As Henry ran his fingers through her soft, off-white hair, he whispered sweet nothings into her ears, his sugar-sweet words acting like a lullaby to her.
A few minutes later, she had fallen asleep, this time her dreams were sweet.
Dreams of love, dreams of a new life, dreams of the future and dreams of a wedding.
All things she wanted to have with Henry.
And she knew, deep down, that he wanted the same.
