Carried Away

Summary:

Hans and Kristoff were happy together for 2 years. Who knew that their time would end so quickly?

Notes:

Basically Anna and Elsa went away for two years to find answers and all that and Hans and Kristoff were left behind at the castle. They fell in love and had fun together and were brutally honest with each other the whole time. But now the girls are back…

Also the title is from the song Carried Away by Shawn Mendez

Work Text:

Hans POV

Hans watched as they stepped off the ship, greeted by the many people of Arendelle. Anna was swept up and twirled around by Kristoff, Elsa watched from the side, happy that her sister had finally found love. He remembered what it was to be held in those arms and kissed by those soft lips. He remembered the first night that Kristoff had held him in his arms and the many nights that came after. He remembered the day when they’d both been truly honest with one another. When he’d shared his stories and Kristoff had shared his. Now that the girls were back, there’d be no more of it.

Kristoff POV

Kristoff turned to see Anna running towards him smiling brightly and he scooped her up and twirled her around, matching her smile perfectly. As he held her, he was reminded of the way Hans had felt in his arms, his warmth a constant comfort. Kristoff remembered when Hans had told him about his family. About the parents that forgot him and the brothers that abused him. He had held the brunette through the nightmares and the panic attacks, whispering soothing words in his ear to help him calm down. He would miss their nights cuddling, their movie nights and their pillow fights. That would no longer happen. I guess we let ourselves get carried away.

No one POV

There might have been a time where Hans and Kristoff could have worked out but this wasn’t that time. They let themselves get carried away into a world that was never supposed to exist and in the end, it all came crashing down.
