Chapter Text
Guidelines:
-The main OC is named Rei Sakurai. Rei is a 17 year old young man (by the time Hibiki activates Gunginr) with long brown hair that reaches his lower back and has green eyes.
-On the surface, Rei is described as a level headed young man who, more often than not, is quick to the point of a matter. Despite how he acts, Rei cares greatly for the people around him, willing to go to great lengths to protect them. He’s also not above cracking jokes and teasing his loved ones. Rei has a habit of being sarcastic depending on his mood, and being unable to tell when that sarcasm is unneeded.
-When he was younger, Rei was transported to the World of Symphogear, and adopted by Ryuko after she found him wandering around. He has no idea how he ended up there, and has very little knowledge about Symphogear, only knowing it is an anime. The meeting itself takes place a year before Fine is awakened inside of Ryuko.
-Along with Rei came the Model Z biometal and Model Z biometal, letting him transform and fight. Due to Rei being a fan of the Megaman series, he is aware of how strong Zero is. This causes him to fear that he might give into temptation and become the monster that Zero was originally meant to be if he ever got full access to his full power.
-Despite trying to, Rei is unable to awaken the X Biometal.
-Through Ryuko adopting him, Rei has known Tsubasa and Kanade for a while before the Zwei Wing Incident.
-During the Zwei Concert Incident, the Z Biometal activates, and takes control of Rei to fight the Noise. They save Kanade from singing her Swan Song, but due to singing enough of it, she still loses her powers. When canon starts, Kanade uses the Model X biometal to fight after it is activated due to Kanade’s desire to protect someone from a Noise attack. Kanade is not fully compatible at first due to the difference in personalities between her and X, that being the hidden desire to want power to fight the Noise and the Pacifism of X.
-For this story, Biomeatals Z and X have the potential to unlock everything that the original Zero and X could do, from their weapons to any special armours. The trade off for the armours is that the stronger they are, the more strain they put on the user's body. As a result, Rei and Kanade need to train themselves to handle the power. All forms and weapons can be switched on command.
-The X and Z Biometals are the same ones from Megaman ZX. In this story, they were lost in the final battle with Thomas, getting thrown into a wormhole, and ending up with Rei. Both Biometals have the same personalities as they do in the game, acting as partners for Rei and Kanade.
-In S1, it’s discovered that the Maverick Virus has somehow appeared and is affecting some of the Noise, making them stronger or even more violent to the point they even attack other Noise, getting the name Maverick Noise.
-Due to spending so much time around Ryoko, Rei has an understanding of how Relics work, though he's still far behind his mother by comparison. This lets him have the skill to keep them maintained at the very least.
-In G, Rei starts to overwork himself in hopes of keeping his mind off the complicated feelings he has about Ryoko/Fine to the point that he hasn’t been to his home in months. His arc this season ends with him realizing that Ryoko still cared for him, and it has him unlock an armor based on Nehushtan, complete with a chain whip of his own. This development is helped by Chris, who he starts to see as a little sister.
-In GX, when the Symphogears are damaged, Rei choses to step back and help Elfnein repair them and give them the boost they need. In turn, he lends Biometal Z to Kanade so she can have the extra edge she needs until he’s able to go into the field again. As Megaman ZX, the abilities of both Biometals are limited so as to not overwhelm the user.
-An original season that takes place after GX. It’s revealed that the Maverick Virus was from a Biometal called Model S that holds the mind of Sigma, and Model Z when Rei first appeared. Model S possesses some random scientist and takes over his body with the goal to wipe out humanity. It’s also revealed that Model X, and Kanade by proxy, have a piece of the Mother Elf inside them.
-Combined with the information on the Mother Elf, the partial guilt he feels about the Maverick Virus, and the desire to make sure his loved ones are safe, Rei goes off on his own to stop Model S. He’s fully aware of the risk, but is willing to go through with it, even if it means sacrificing himself. This results in a fight with Kanade when she and the others catch up to him, and ends with her winning (The fight is based on X vs Zero The Decisive Battle from Youtube).
-The original arc ends with Rei and Kanade facing Sigma while the Symphogear users face an Alca Noise Maverick that is based on every Devil type boss from the Mega Man series.
-An multi-chapter arc where the canon Symphogear cast (plus Ryuko and Fine) come to Rei’s universe to deal with a Karma Noise that escaped from them. This mini arc happens a few days after AXZ.
-By the end of the story, Rei will have access to Zero’s Awakened Form and Kanade will have the Ultimate Armour.
