Ahyeon usually loves the weekend.
She loves it even more if she gets to spend it with her family, her friends, and of course, her girlfriend. She was glad that both she and Pharita are the type to go out if they are able to.
They didn't have any exams to study for this weekend, so they asked their friends to go on a picnic in the park. Most of them agreed, so they only had to decide who would bring what along.
Ahyeon was excited to finally be out with her girlfriend because the last few times they were at Ahyeon's house, where they got disturbed by her younger brother and parents a little too often.
However, while the week slowly passed, Ahyeon started to worry about the picnic.
Why?
Well, Pharita's father let himself be persuaded and got his daughter a puppy. The moment Pharita got the little guy, her only attention was on the puppy. Ahyeon was not used to being second in her girlfriend's life, so her mood was always on edge.
Her friends had to hold their laughter while Pharita was oblivious to everything. Ahyeon didn't want to come over as needy, so she didn't talk to her girlfriend about it. Being jealous of a puppy was also slightly embarrassing for her to admit.
However, being in the park now, and seeing how her girlfriend was only playing with her puppy, made her mood slowly go down.
"Stop sulking and eat the food. It took a lot of time to prepare everything" Asa said, giving Ahyeon one of the sandwiches. Ahyeon looked at the older girl in disbelief.
"I'm not sulking. Why would I? Because my girlfriend doesn't seem to have any time for me anymore? Nooo" She took a bite out of the sandwich, giving Asa a thumbs-up before continuing to stare at Pharita playing with the puppy. Ruka and Haram laughed at the answer and how she was still frowning while eating.
"Why don't you just talk to Rita about it?" The older of the two asked. "Have you seen Pharita when she is with her dog? She looks so happy right now" Ahyeon was captivated by her girlfriend, but Rami had to ruin it.
"Awwww, you're so in love" Ahyeon glared at her friend. "You are not helping" The blonde just grinned at her, patting her shoulder right after. "I'm not here to help, I'm here to have fun, and so should you" Ahyeon sighed and smiled at Rami.
"You're right. I just hoped to have fun with Pharita. I'm not used to having her so close without really having her by my side, you know?" Ruka nodded.
"I sometimes feel the same" Ruka said, getting Asa's attention. "What do you mean?" The older girl chuckled slightly before explaining. "Well, when we're working on a project, for example. You're so focused that you don't even react when I try to call you" Asa knew exactly what her girlfriend was talking about and couldn't help but agree.
"What are you guys talking about?" Ahyeon turned around, happy to see Pharita joining them. Chikita and Rora were still with the puppy, making Ahyeon hope that her girlfriend would finally spend some time with her. "We're talking about how I sometimes ignore Ruru by accident when I'm in the middle of a project"
The Thai girl nodded and leaned closer to Ahyeon. The younger girl smiled, thinking she would get a kiss, when instead Pharita just stole the grape she was holding.
"My Dad texted, telling me it will probably rain in like two hours" The girls looked up, agreeing that it looked a bit dark. "We should probably start packing then" Haram said and stood up. The other girls followed, gathering everything together.
Ahyeon frowned slightly, not liking that they were at the park and she had not even spent one moment with her girlfriend. While Pharita went back to her puppy, Ahyeon helped the girls gather everything together. When everything was in place, the group of friends bade goodbye.
Ahyeon was about to say goodbye to her girlfriend, but when she leaned in, she got a confused look from her girlfriend.
"Are you not coming over to my house to watch a movie together?" "Do you want me to?" Pharita chuckled.
"Of course, silly. I wouldn't have asked if I didn't want to spend more time with you" Ahyeon smiled and wanted to hold her girlfriend's hand when suddenly the puppy started to run, dragging Pharita with him.
Ahyeon slowly felt like the dog was trying to keep her away from Pharita, but at least she could spend some time with the older girl. The two walked to Pharita's house since it wasn't far from the park.
The first raindrops were already falling, so they fastened their steps a little, glad that they reached the house just in time before it started to pour.
Ahyeon greeted Pharita's parents before they walked upstairs. The two changed into comfortable clothes before Pharita went downstairs for a moment. Ahyeon was already looking through the movies they could watch and frowned when she found one, but her girlfriend was still not there. She had a feeling that she was playing with the puppy again, so she just lay on the bed and waited. A few minutes later, Pharita arrived in the room with snacks and a drink.
"Where is the little guy?" Pharita smiled at her girlfriend and joined her on the bed. "Downstairs with my parents. It seems like someone else requires my attention" Ahyeon slightly blushed by the expression, but then frowned.
"Who told you, Rami or Ruka?"
"Both"
Ahyeon wanted to curse her friends, but Pharita didn't let her by pulling her in a tight hug. "I'm sorry for neglecting you these past few days" Ahyeon sighed, relaxing by smelling Pharita's favorite perfume, and hugged her back.
"It's fine. You wanted a puppy for so long, so it's only natural for you to spend so much time with him. I'm just not used to sharing you with anyone" Pharita chuckled and pulled her head away to look at her girlfriend.
"You're cute when you're jealous" "Can we watch the movie now?" Pharita pecked the younger girl's lips before nodding her head and cuddling into her.
Finally, Ahyeon had her girlfriend to herself. She knows she has to get used to Pharita spending time with other individuals, but for now, she is glad that she has her all to herself.
She hopefully will always be her number one.
